This Public Interest Notification is made under the Privacy Act of Canada and has been issued in the interest of public safety.

Mr. Andrew Aurie JEFFERSON was released from a federal corrections institution today and will be residing in Kelowna.

Mr. JEFFERSON is a Caucasian male, 177 cm (5 ft 9.5 in) tall and weighs 83 kgs (183Ibs). He has brown hair and green eyes. Mr. JEFFERSON has a criminal record involving sexual related offences. JEFFERSON's criminal history includes sexual offences against adult females. His method of operation is to randomly grab a female from behind who is walking down the street. He threatens to kill the female if she screams and uses a knife during the commission of the sexual offence. Mr. JEFFERSON is currently bound by an 810.1 Criminal Code Recognizance and is being supervised by the Kelowna Probation Office and is being monitored by the Kelowna City RCMP. Mr. JEFFERSON must abide by various court ordered conditions of his release including the following: To keep the peace and be of good behaviour Shall have no contact, with any of the victims of offences for which you have been convicted or any known members of their immediate families Shall not attend any known residence, place of employment or educational facility of any of the victims of offences or any members of their immediate families Shall immediately advise the Probation Officer of any close relationship with a female person, and refrain from continuing with that relationship until that female person has been advised of your criminal record in the presence of the Probation Officer Shall not possess any knives except for the immediate preparation and consumption of food Shall not possess, own or carry any weapons Shall not consume or possess alcohol or any controlled Shall not enter any establishment sale substances. for

Shall not to be outside your residence between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:00 am daily except for employment purposes and with the prior written permission from the Probation Officer. Must not attend public parks or one block radius of wooded areas
