Answers to Questions on the Ranch

We had another delightful week at school, and I think it was especially sweet because of the snow! Much of the time was spent practicing new procedures for putting on and taking off snow gear! It is quite a chore, but we are thankful for the opportunities to play in Gods snowy creativity! If you have snow gear, feel free to send it every day unless you have a second set of clothes to leave here at school! We will try to wrangle up all the loose articles of clothing every day, but it would be super helpful to have initials on each and every piece of gear you send to school! A few quick tidbits to remind you of right now are included below! -Book orders due Monday (extended)! -Operation Christmas Child items due Monday! -Community Helper Day - Thursday -Harvest Party on Friday (10:00 - 11:00) -Early dismissal on Friday (12:00) -Early dismissal on Wednesday, Nov. 23 -Look for progress reports to come soon! Thank you all for your kindness and help! This class of students and their families are so very special to me, and your generous hearts have been the most incredible blessing to me this year as well as to my family! Thank you for giving of yourselves! Have a wonderful weekend! Miss Hult

A: Our Harvest Party will be held this coming Friday, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.! Many people have volunteered to provide snacks and goodies, and I so appreciate your willingness to serve! If you are interested in joining us for the party, you are welcome to do so, and younger siblings are welcome as well, though I cannot promise there will be enough food or enough time for them to participate in everything! We usually have plenty of time and resources, but I just wanted to forewarn you! Thanks so much for your help!

A: Community Helper Day is one of my favorite days during the school year! I encourage students to dress up like the community helper they want to be when they grow up! We do a variety of wrap-up activities as we review all we have learned about community helpers! It is a really special day, and it is another great opportunity to talk with the students about the awesome plans God has for their lives!

A: Operation Christmas Child items are due on ! Here is a quick reminder of what you signed up to bring: Socks - Vanlaningham, underwear - Osborn, towels - Herbel, coloring books - Davenport, crayons - Hoefle, and $7 shipping - Swope. Thank you for donating! We really appreciate it!

A Bible Course Map for the Upcoming Week Monday: (Gen. 27:41-28:22) Rebekah tells Jacob to leave to find a wife in Haran. God protects Esau from hurting Jacob by doing so. The Lord comes to Jacob in a dream when he stops to sleep on his journey. God encouraged Jacob in the dream by telling him He would protect Jacob and provide for him. There were angels going up and down a ladder, and God was using them to tell Jacob He is a God who forgives sin if we confess it to Him. Jacob then worships God. Tuesday: Review of previous lesson. Wednesday: Chapel review and extension. Thursday: (Gen. 29-31) Jacob meets Rachel and wants to marry her. He agrees to work for Rachels father so he can marry her. Jacob loves her, so the time he has to work passes quickly. Rachels father lies to Jacob, and he is given the wrong bride. He works seven more years, and then, God allows him to marry Rachel. He learns the importance of treating others the way you want to be treated. Friday: Review of previous lesson.
