CLARIFICATIONS & CONSIDERATIONS 1. Detailed Engineering will be carried out in accordance with design basis/criteria prepared by DE CONSULTANT and approved by Owners Engineer. 2. DE CONSULTANT will develop the engineering schedule, based on L2/ L3 schedule provided by CCCL and in mutual discussions with CCCL for sequential release of engineering deliverables to meet the project / construction schedule based on the inputs from CCCL such as milestone dates for order placement, manufacturing time, delivery and execution of various equipment and packages. DE CONSULTANTs planning and

monitoring activities are limited to the engineering deliverables in DE CONSULTANTs scope only. 3. DE CONSULTANT will review vendor drawings and documents with respect to specification compliance and interfaces requirements (excluding interface within scope of Vendors Package). DE CONSULTANT will maintain the vendor drawing status record. 4. To expedite the technical bid evaluation process, it is considered that all the bids for all packages will be made available to DE CONSULTANT. The number of bids to be evaluated will be about on an average four (4) bids. 5. All drawings will be in Microstation / Auto Cad. 6. The soft copy of final As-built drawings will be subsequently submitted at the end of the project in Microstation / Auto Cad. 7. Suitable software (ex.PDS) for power plant detail engineering. 3-D modeling software like PDS is required to be used for the project. 8. Technical assistance for liaison with government/ local authorities for any statutory / contractual requirements, will be provided by DE Consultants. 9. Wherever the BOP packages will be unitized, DE Consultants will prepare necessary supporting documents. 10. Above ground conduit layout shall also be considered in detail engineering scope. 11. Monthly engineering progress report will be prepared and submitted by DE CONSULTANTto CCCL. 12. BTG vendor documents/drawings shall only be reviewed by DE CONSULTANT to derive design inputs for various DE CONSULTANTs deliverables for BOP portion. 13. All the engineering deliverables from DE CONSULTANT will be submitted to CCCL for further distribution to Owner/Owners consultant. 14. Co-ordination and expediting with Owner/ Owners Consultant /Vendors / Equipment suppliers is not considered in DE CONSULTANT scope of work. However, any contractor for detail Engineering/ drafting if employed by you shall be expedited by DE Consultants. 15. Cable Engineering shall be carried out for those cables which are in CCCLs scope of supply. Cable raceway drawings. 16. Special / Transient Studies like Hazop Study , CW transient analysis, model sump study, wind tunnel study and CFD analysis shall be carried out by DE consultants. 17. Preparation of piping isometric drawings and pipe support drawings for all pipe sizes including small bore pipes. 18. Lighting Design Preparation of lighting calculations, lighting layouts, lighting power distribution scheme, lighting BOQ etc. 19. Electrical Harmonic analysis and transient stability studies. 20. Hazardous Area Classification Study and Cathodic Protection system study. 21. Specification for soil investigation study. 22. Review and preparation of structural fabrication drawing. 23. Review of bar bending schedules. 24. Architectural drawings and BOQs. Payment Terms: Design and detailed Plant Engineering price for each Unit will be paid as per detailed break-up as set forth in the Contract after issue of certification of completion of same by Engineering Contractor to EPC contractor and acceptance thereof by EPC contractors representative in following installments:

10 (Ten)% of Design and detailed Engineering as initial advance on fulfillment of conditions in sub- clauses detailed below in Item 1 20 (Twenty)% of Design and detailed Engineering on submission of design engineering documentation, like heat and mass balances, Process and Instrumentation Drawings, plot plan of BOP package, General arrangement Drawings, single line diagram, design criteria and sizing calculations, investigation reports etc. List shall be prepared by Contractor and approved by EPC contractor as per the specification. 10 (Ten)% of Design and detailed Engineering on submission of design engineering documentation, as final documentation of (ii) above, including soft copies and progressive submission of piping Drawings, motor list, instrument list, pipeline reference list, sub-vendor Drawings, etc., as per the Specification. 15 (Fifteen)% of Design and detailed Engineering on submission of design engineering documentation, instrumentation logic diagrams including set points, etc., supervision of erection and Commissioning Manuals and balance documentation. 10 (Ten) % of Design and detailed Engineering on submission of all O&M Manuals complete in all respects. 10 (Ten) % of Design and detailed Engineering on final approval of all documentation and submission of all necessary documentation to make the documentation complete. 5 (Five) % of Design and detailed Engineering on certification of successful completion of Reliability Operation of the Unit. 10 (Ten) % of Design and detailed Engineering on Take over of the Unit. 10 (Ten) % on Acceptance and Issuance of Final Acceptance Certificate by EPC contractor for BOP package i.e. comprising of all Units. Service Contractor acknowledges that certification or its acceptance by the EPC contractor's Representative shall not, however relieve or absolve in any way or manner the Contractor from the performance of Work and other obligations under the Contract including Guarantee and Warranty obligations under the Contract. Note: Payment shall be made based on detailed billing schedule prepared by Contractor and approved by EPC contractor.. Item 1 : Submission of i. Signing of Contract Agreement; ii. Submission of a detailed Network Schedule/PERT network indicating detailed milestones based on the Work schedule and its approval by the EPC contgractor. iii Detailed break-up of equipment components / systems; iv. Detailed activity wise price break up for all Services vii. Documentation and Bank Guarantee for advance viii. Subsequent 5(Five) % payment against advance payment guarantee will be paid within 3 months from effective date.
