RV Block - Finished Size: 5" square 1. Center a Cream Tonal triangle on the right and left side of a 4" Green RVs square and sew in place, press. Note: Place the bias grain piece under the straight grain piece to help reduce stretching of the bias edge. 2. Repeat step 1 sewing a Cream Tonal triangle to the top and bottom of the unit from step 1, press. Trim the block to 6" square, if necessary. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make a total of twenty. Food Block - Finished Size: 5" square 1. Sew a 1" x 4" Blue Tonal rectangle to the right and left sides of a 4" Green Food Toss square, press. Note: We will trim the corners of the Blue Tonal rectangles in a later step. Repeat this step sewing a Blue Tonal rectangle to the top and bottom, press. Repeat to make a total of twelve. 2. Center a Brown Tonal triangle on the right side of one of the units from step 1 and sew in place, press. Repeat on the left, top and bottom. Repeat to make twelve. 3. To trim off the excess corner of the rectangles, place your ruler along the raw edge of the short sides of the triangle on the right and top of the block. Trim the corners as shown. Repeat on the remaining three sides. Repeat to trim all twelve blocks.

Cut the Fabrics


WOF = Width of Fabric LOF = Length of Fabric From the Large Stripe fussy cut: 4 5" x LOF From the Brown Tonal cut: 24 2" squares, cut once diagonally From the Cream Tonal cut: 40 3" squares, cut once diagonally From the Blue Tonal cut: 48 1" x 4" rectangles 5 2" x WOF (binding) From the Brown Food Toss cut: 4 - 9" squares, cut twice diagonally 2 - 5" squares, cut once diagonally From the Green Food Toss cut: 12 - 4" squares From the Green RVs fussy cut: 20 - 4" squares

Putting It Together 1. Layout the blocks in diagonal rows as shown and place a setting triangle or corner triangle at the end of each row as needed. Sew the rows together and press each row in the opposite direction. Sew the rows together, press. 2. Center and pin the border strips in place. Sew the seam by starting and ending " from the raw edge and backstitch to secure. Press seam toward the quilt top then finish the corners by mitering the seams at a 45 degree angle. Trim excess border fabric. 3. Lay quilt top, batting and backing together and quilt as desired.
