Jackie,
How are you? I hope everythings OK. Ive had a terrible week. I started using the Internet a bit, as you
suggested. I found this great chatroom and I met this boy called Tom. Hes into computers and computer
games and he thinks that I am too. Now he wants me to send him a photo of myself by e-mail how do you
do that? It turns out he lives in Liverpool too and he wants to meet me at a cybercaf he knows. And he
thinks Im seventeen and Ive got blonde hair. I dont know what to do. You know that I dont know anything
about computers and Ive never played one of those games in my life! Im sure if I tell him the truth, hell be
furious or hell think Im really silly. If I send him my photo, hell find out that Im not blonde, but if I dont
send him my photo, he might think Im not interested.
The thing is, I really want to meet him because he sounds lovely and he hasnt got a girlfriend! He likes
canoeing and skiing and theyre my favourite sports. What do you think? Should I tell him the truth?
Write soon!
