I. A special recruitment drive to fill up 418 vacancies of different posts in ITB Police under Exservicemen quota is planned to be conducted as per following details:S.No Recruitment . Centre 1. III. (a) Details of post wise vacancies which may vary due to administrative reasons, age limit, pay scale & prescribed educational qualifications are as under:No. of Pay Scale Educational qualification vacancies 2 Rs. 5200 20200 (a) Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate ASI(Steno.) (ii) Preference shall be given to those who have certificate of telegraphist or operator from ITI or Ministry of Communication, subject to passing the Aptitude test. (i) Matric or equivalent with English, Mathematics, General Science (or Physics and Chemistry) with three years Diploma in Radio or Electronics or Telecommunication and Electric Communication Engineering from a recognized Institution. (ii) Certificate from a recognized institution/ ITI in Automobile Engineering/Motor Mechanic trade. 51 -do(i) Matric or equivalent

Note: Cut off date to determine the age will be: i) 01/08/2010 for the post of Constable/General Duty. ii) 30/08/2010 for all other posts except Constable/General Duty. Every ex-servicemen who has put in not less than six months continuous service in the Armed Forces of the Union shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post or service for which he seeks appointment by more than three years he shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit.
(b) Medical Standards: Should be medical category SHAPE-1 at the time of release from Army. However, all the Ex-servicemen candidates will be required to undergo requisite medical examination and should be found fit as per job requirement. (c) (d) Character: Should be Exemplary or very Good or Good character. Physical Standards.

For all except the categories given below 170 cms Relaxation:- Minimum standards (for 165 cms Height and Chest) of Candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and Candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K. Candidates belonging to Scheduled 162.5 cms Tribes.

IV.

PROCEDURE OF RECRUITMENT: (a) Documentation: All the candidates reporting at each venue will be provided application form which will be filled up and signed by the candidate. Candidates may also download the application form from website of ITB Police i.e. www.itbpolice.nic.in, www.itbp.gov.in. Attested copies of testimonials including discharge certificate etc. will be attached thereto. Those candidates whose applications/testimonials are found in order shall be allowed to appear in the written test. (b) (c) Physical Efficiency test: servicemen. Written test/Trade test/Interview: The written test for various posts will be conducted for all those candidates who are found eligible in the documentation stage for the post they have applied for. Skill Test (100 Marks): The candidates who qualify the Written Test will be allowed in the Skill Test i.e. shorthand and typing. Minimum speed of 40 words per minute in English Typewriting or 30 words per minute in Hindi typewriting and a minimum speed of 80 words per minute in

shorthand English or Hindi. (The candidate will have to arrange his own typewriter for typing test). Constable (AT)

Written test consisting of General Awareness/General Knowledge, Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test basic knowledge of candidate in English/Hindi. The question paper will consist of 100 multiple choice objective type questions carrying 100 marks (Qualifying Marks-35%). There will be no interview. Written Test (35 marks): The question paper will be set to assess the general awareness/General Knowledge, Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test basic knowledge of candidate in English/Hindi. Qualifying Marks 35% Interview (15 marks): The candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be put through Interview to check general disposition and assess soldierly traits with a view to determine their suitability in an armed force. (a) Written Examination (25 Marks): The written test will consist of objective, as well as descriptive type questions. (b) Trade Tests (60 Marks): Trade test for the applied trade will be conducted for those who qualify in Written Test. a. Cobbler: Polishing of shoes, handling tools, cutting of leather, repair and stitching of shoes. Tailor: Taking measurement, cutting of cloths and stitching of uniform. Gardener: - Should have knowledge of:i) Different kinds of plants, flower plants, seasonal plants and to recognize them. ii) Knowledge of chemical fertilizers and its use. iii) Preservation of seeds of different plants, season of plantation and plantation techniques. iv) Budding and grafting of plants. v) Preparation of bouquet by combining flowers of different colours. vi) Identification of trade tools. Note:- Qualifying marks for written and trade tests will be 35% separately. (c) Interview (15 Marks): - Interview shall be conducted after trade test.

Constable (Tailor/ Gardener/ Cobbler)

(a) Written Test (50 Marks):-Written Test will consist of objective as well as descriptive type questions. The question paper will consist of questions on General Awareness/General Knowledge, Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics and ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test basic knowledge of candidate in English/Hindi. The papers can be answered either in Hindi or in English. The candidate must qualify the Written Test. (b) Practical / Trade Tests (60 Marks): The candidates who qualify in the Written Test will be put through Practical / Trade tests which will be conducted for all the posts in respect of their trade. Candidates will have to qualify the trade test. Note:- Qualifying marks for written and trade tests will be 35% separately. (c) Interview (15 Marks): - Interview shall be conducted after trade test. (d)

Detailed Medical Examination: Candidates who secure minimum percentage marks in aggregate after interview will be medically examined on merit basis. Final medical examination will be conducted by the Medical Officer as per the existing instructions on the subject.

V. How to apply: Ex-servicemen candidates are required to report at any of the recruitment venues on the given dates against each. They will have to fill the application form which will be supplied to them at the recruitment venue by their respective Recruitment Board. No application fee will be charged. Candidates are required to bring following documents with them:i) Discharge certificate from Army in original & one photo copy duly attested. ii) In case serving personnel, they will produce certificate issued by their Record Office showing complete details about their trade, Medical Standard etc. with their date of discharge from Army. iii) Educational qualification certificate in original & one photo copy duly attested. iv) Technical qualification certificate in original & one photo copy duly attested. v) Other certificate(s) if any. vi) Minimum two passport size photographs. VI. The candidates may please note that: i) No TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates appearing for the recruitment test. ii) Candidates are advised to be present at the venue at least one hour before start of test. iii) Candidates may have to stay for 4-5 days for the test; therefore, the candidates are advised to come prepared accordingly. iv) ITBPF will not be responsible for any injury/damage sustained during recruitment process.
