CP 2622
DESCRIPTION
CP 2622 has been specifically designed for the shipping industry, Chemiphase International sludge conditioner can help maritime operators reclaim the expense of dealing with tank sludge, bilge water and slop oil. CP 2622 consists of a carefully formulated mixture of demulsifying chemicals that force the water and solids away from the oil. When separated the water forms a forms a clear layer below the oil which can be drained off, leaving a dry clear oil. By the time the process is complete, the oil mixture comprises of approximately 10% water and 90% oil which can then be sold as is or processed further using mechanical oil/water splitters. This will then create a commodity that most disposal companies will pay for putting an end to expensive sludge tank drainage. From fishing fleets to cruise liners, this product is extremely versatile and could be used across the whole maritime industry. CP 2622 is ideal for use in cargo or passenger ships which empty their sludge tanks every 2-3 days. CP 2622 contains a unique blend of chemicals that combine to form the most effective demulsifier on the market. You can be sure you will maximize the value of your sludge oil for the most cost effective solution.
BENEFITS
Efficient Low-cost Easy to apply Environmentally friendly Inversion of cut to 95% oil / 5% water Cuts sludge disposal costs Clear oil / water split CP 2622 remains in oil phase and not lost when removing water cut Greater distances between tanking off Versatile can be used on almost any ship Turns a by-product into a valuable commodity. With 95% oil content improves on-board incineration. And, by cutting waste and recycling run-off sludge oil, CP 2622 can also ensure that the maritime industry is kinder to the environment.

CP 2622
Ship Waste Treatment Sludge Conditioner
How To Use CP 2622 Ship sludge conditioner is easy to use. In essence sludge conditioner is added to the tank, left for 2-3 days, and then heated to 65-85C, using the standard heating equipment fitted to the ship. After this, the water can be drained off. The quantity required to treat the sludge depends on the capacity of the sludge tank or the volume of the sludge normally disposed of onshore. Capacity of Sludge Tank 10,000 Litres (2641 US gallons) 20,000 Litres (5282 US gallons) 50,000 Litres (13,205 US gallons) Quantity of CP2622 Required (2000 ppm) 20 Litres 40 Litres 100 Litres
Once added, the product will mix naturally with the incoming sludge, aided by the normal motion of the ship. CP 2622 is oil soluble and will remain in the sludge oil throughout its time in the sludge tank. If the correct dose of conditioner has been used, this will continue to act on new incoming sludge as before. If there is no separation of the new incoming sludge then more conditioner can be added at any stage. This process of heating/ cooling/ draining can be repeated over a period of several days for maximum efficiency.

Ship Name : Stena Line Europe na Fuel Type 380 cst Customer of Chemiphase International for 10 Years Contact - Don Maclean (Chief Engineer of Stena Europe) Stena Line Europe have been using Chemiphase Internationals CP 2622 for over 10 years with excellent results. Below is a brief explanation of how they use the product and a brief outline of their process when handling sludge :
Stena have modified their internal tanking system to process sludge, slop and waste lubricating oils within the ship. This has resulted in longer time intervals between discharge into port side collection tanks and substantial cost saving. Sludge Tank The main sludge tank collects the oil/water from the Heavy Fuel Oil Purifier which sits directly above the tank. This ship has two 7 MT Lubricating Oil sludge tanks, each containing a Lubricating Oil Purifier above them. Once a week the contents of the Lubricating Oil Sludge tanks are transferred to e the main sludge tank. Bilge Tank Bilges are pumped to a bilge holding tank via a 100 ppm separator. Once the oil level in this separator rises it dumps this oil/ water mixture to the main sludge tank. water A Bilge holding tank pumps overboard via a 15ppm filter, with anything fluid registering above 15 ppm being directed to the main sludge tank. The main tank has a steam coil and can be heated.
CP-2622 is designed to remain in 2622 the oil phase so it will keep working until the tank contents are emptie emptied.
