Requirements
* A degree/advanced diploma in a health-related field, registration with the relevant professional
Body and a Master degree in Public Health and/ or Management. A minimum of ton (10) years
‘management experience in the health sector at a senior management level. Strong behavicural
Aitibutes with the abllty and stature to manage KPA’s of a highly qualified health special
inherent requirement. COMPETENCIES: Knowledge of relevant legislation such as National
Health Act, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Act and related Regulations
and policies. Core Competencies: Strategic capabilty and leadership, Programme and project
management, Financial Management, Change management, People management and
Empowerment. Process Competencies: Service delivery innovation, Knowledge management,
Froplem solving and analysis, Communication, Client orientation and customer focus. report
waiting skills, Willing to work after hours, standby or on call basis.
Duties :
* Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the efficient and effective delivery of clinical and
provincial and public forums; provide strategic leadership to improve operational efficiency within
1 peath establishment to improve health outcomes. Strategic Planning: prepare a strategie plan
forthe hospital to ensure thai in line with the 10-point plan, national, provin'al, regional ana
{(isttct plans. Financial Management: maximize revenue through the collection ofall iscome due to
{he hospital; ensure that the hospitals managed within budget inline with the PFMA end reloccnt,
Guidelines; ensure that adequate polices, systems, and procedures are in place to enable pricent
Trarlagement of financial resources, planning of financial resource mobiization, monitoring and
elivery; ensure that systems and procedures are in place to ensure planning and timecue
maintenance of faciliies and equipment. Human Resource Management: develop, implement, and
maintain human resource management policies and guidelines, systems, and procedures that wil
enshre effective and efficient utilization of human resources; promote a safe and healthy working
Sowironment through compliance with relevant legislation including occupational health and safey
Committees. Effectively implement the performance management system within the institution
Procurement and Management of Equipment and Supplies: implement a procurement snd
seisioning system that is far, transparent, competitive, and cost-effective in terms of provincial
delegated authority in compliance with the PFMA: ensure that goods and serviess are procured in
@ cost-effective and timely manner, Clinical and Corporate Governance: oversee clinical
