1. Introduction
This device represents the perfect combination of the reliable hardware design
and the software technology. Designed as a excellent weighing instrument up to date,
the device adopts the MCS-51 signal-chip micro processing unit and accurate, speedy
A/D conversion technology. It is convenient for this monitor to be connected to the
convertible resistance sensor as the fix-valued scales, accumulating scales and
packing scales. The CONTROL-PRO C5 can be widely applied in the field of
business, industrial enterprise , storage dock and related weighing environments.

3.2 Main Features of CONTROL-PRO C5 Controlling Indicator


(1) Full keyboard calibration and adjustment.
(2) To be coupled with variety of pin type printers.
(3) Capable of printing weighing records and accumulating value.
(4) Capable of storing, deleting and checking, protecting the data when power off.
(5) Accurate clock, calendar and automatic leap year and month setting, all of which
are not affected by power failure.
(6) Capable of setting the range of zero tracking.
(7) Capable of setting the range of zero setup and starting automatic zero setup.
(8) With tare function.
(9) Capable of setting digital filter intensity.
(10) With self-checking function and multi information indicating.
(11) Serial communication interface (optional of continuity and command).
(12) Scoreboard display interface
(13) 8 outside control signal input and 7 relay fixed value signal output can be
combined with many kinds of single/double speedy fix-valued control scales and
packing scales.
(14) This indicator can be used to do subtration scale and material collocating scale.

2. Connection of load cell with indicator
1) Use 9 pin socket for load cell connection. Picture 3-3 shows the meaning.
2) If using 4 pin shield cable, +E & +S, -E & -S must be short circuit.

3. Connection of printer with indicator


Adopt standard parallel output for connection with 25 pin socket. See 3-4 picture.

4.Connection of scoreboard with indicator
1)Use 15 pin socket for connection of scoreboard. Interface is simultaneously used
as serials socket. See picture 3-5 (9 and 10 foot.)
(2)Scoreboard signal is 20mA constant current loop with binary system serial output
of 800 baud rate. Each frame date is of 11 bits, like 1 starting bit (0), 8
data bits (the lower the more frontal), 1 indication bit and last one for stop
bit.
(3)A group of date is sent every 100ms. Each data includes 3 frame data. See 3-6
below.

5.serial communication interface
1) RS232C (standard product) is used here for serial communication interface.
RS422 is selectable with the same output of RS232C.
15 pin socket is used here for communication interface. This socket is simultaneously
used with scoreboard. See 6, 7 and 8 feet in 3-5 picture.
2)RS232C is used for communication interface. All data is in the form of ASCII.

Each group data consist of 10 bit. The 1 bit is starting bit while the 10 bit
is stopping bit, between which is data bits. Communication format is as follows.
(a).continuous type 1
The data transported is the current weighing value (gross weight or net
weight) displayed by indicator. Each frame consists of 12 groups. The format
is as follows.

六、CONTROLLING INTERFACE
1. Indicator has 8 input connections out controlling. It is for on/off switch
signal, start, stop, pause/play, loading, and discharging, which are of the
same function as panel.
2. Indicator has 14 relay touch point output for fixed value and loading control.

2. Calibration
1. Properly connect the load cell to indicator like picture 3-3 to make sure that
the indicator is under normal working condition.
2. There is a 15 pin socket at the rear. A 15 pin plug is sent freely along with
indicator. Find that plug and make the socket short-circuit by connecting 14 & 15
foot.
3. Then calibrate the indicator according to the following table 4-3

Chapter 5. Operation instruction

1. Strart up
Two work model : manual &automatic
Indicator is in manual state before power is off. It will start self checking “0” to “9” after
turning on . it enters weithing status when is finishes
If the weight on platter deviate from “0” after turning on but within start up zero tracking
range . display will zero automatically if beyond set zero set zero tracking range . then
prompt message will appear .

If indicator is in automatic mode before it is powered off . it will display actual weight value
after turning on . left display shows “stop “ at this moment . press[pause] indicator starts
selfchecking . and indicator will zero automactically within the set zero tracking range .
afterwards .if not within the set zero tracking rang then prompt message appear .

2. Zero , tare
(1) press zero ,indicator return to zero . and zero indicating light is on .
(2) displayed value deviate from zero but within set zero tracking range, zero key is
valid .otherwise “zero” key is effective
(3) only when stable indicating light is on ,zero key is valid
(4) tare: under weighing status ,when displayed value is positive and stable .press tare to
deduct the displayed weight as tare.at the moment indicator will display net as “0” ,tare
indicating light is on .
3. print
indicator will deposit the data in memory stick after printing . a complete print record
indludes date , time , net weight . accumulative value.
1. under automatic printing status ,only in control process and feeding stable .and vlid .the
printer starts printing out . on automatic printing ,manual loading won’t printed .[print] ,
[acc] keys are invalid.
2. under manual printing status , deposit the cargo on the platform press [print] when it
stables.it will print out weighing record .
if there is tare , deposit the containere on the platform .press [tare] when load the cargo.
Press [ print] when it is stable .then weighing record printed out .

5. under weighing status , press [paper roll] once , the printer rolls online

display current date , if correct press[weight]
to exit or it exit after 4 seconds .if not correct ,input correct date with digital keys and
press [ enter]
2. under weighing display status , press [time] keys ,time indicating light is on
indicator displays current time if correct ,press[weigh] to exit or it exits after 4 seconds .if
not correct input the correct time with digit key and press[enter]

5. clear , check , accumulative


1. delete the stored accumulative value by pressing [clear]

Checking method for the other record same as above .only the displayed contents is different

3. accumulative
as for weighing records not necessary for printing .if accumulative value is needed to be
stored .press [ accumulative ] key to store weighing records .under automatic printing
status . to press [accumulative] key invalid
notes; on weighing every time ,press [ acc] key once valid .if multiple weighing needs
accumulating ,everytime it will restore vacant status . it will be valid after pressing accumulation

6. fixed value set- up


under weighing indicating status ,press [ fixed value] ,display original set point [ dl I ][**] if
correct then pres [ input] key . if not correct then input revised set point value with digit key .
press[ enter]

( i =1,2,3,4 is order no ) if no I set point value is zero then this material operation is slipped

7 manual feeding / discharging


1.manual feeding
Under weighing status press[ feed] once controller output feeding signal .feeding indicating
light is on . then finish the feeding procedure accordingly
3. manual discharging
press [ discharging ] once . controller ouput discharging signal . discharging indicating light
is on . then finish the discharging procedure accordingly

7. start up , stop, pause /continue


press [start up ] controller will enter automatic control procedure
operation ,automatic indication light is on . notice only when [ stop ] and [ pause/continue] key are
valid ,press[ stop ] once any operation on controller will be terminated and exit to weighing status .
in the process of control , press [pause/contine] controller enters pause status . press [ pause/
continue ] again .controller continue its former action .in pause status , only
[stop] ,[pause/continue] keys are valid

9 under weighing status , press[b1] once internal code displayed in the left window . press side
until time shows up . under automatic status ,left window will display certain material no

A(i) B(i) is quick loading control output,B(i) is the end of quick loading。
B(i) C(i) is slow loading control output, C(i) is the end of slow loading。
C(i) D(i) is the stabilization process,D(i) is to judge if the fixed value
control is okay or not.
TO(i):means weighing and checking after T0(i) seconds from the start and the end
of quick loading.
T1(i):means weighing and checking after T0(i) seconds from the end of loading. And
then make the correspond output.
B area:Discharging process area
D F is for controlling output value of discharge.
T2(i):means stop discharge control output after T2(i) seconds from the discharging
process enter into zero range.

2. Discharging scale
When the indicator is under discharging status, it has the following controlling
curve.

A: means quick discharging
B: means slow discharging
C: to judge if it is passed or beyond tolerance
Discharging is only by one time. Quick discharging relay refers to material 1 quick
loading relay. Slow discharge relay refers to material 1 slow loading replay.
3.Manual loading/discharging control
When by manual loading control, the indicator would set A area process control.
When by manual loading control, the indicator would set B area process control.
4.Automatic control
When under the automatic loading/discharging control process, the indicator
would set A area – B area – C area – A area cycle process control.
5.control function for input controlling signal
signal
1 Other signal: The other input signal functions is correspond to the operation
keypad.
2、Input control signal requires pulse signal. Signal width should be≥200mS。
6. Alarm treatment
1、Insufficient material: supply material automatically
2、Over loading: the beep alarms for long time. Treatments are as follows.
(1) Press [stop] and this loading is invalid.
(2) Press[pause/continuous], it displays passed. And continue next step.
7. treatment for viscidity material
Once the indicator finds viscidity material in the process of loading and
discharging, the display is twinkling for manual operation.

Appendix: Error information remark

Err--1 Cannot tare

Err--2 Cannot zero

Err--3 Cannot meet the demand for startup zero

Err--4 cannot be accumulated

Err--5 cannot be printed

Err--6 illegal time and date

Err--7 EEPROM damaged。

Err--8 Keyboard mal-function

Err--9 Division value is too small to meet A/D conversion
