Instructions to the Near divisional Railway Hospital WRS Colony Raipur (CG) Candidates to reach the venue of the Aptitude Test

A brief description about the structure of the Aptitude Test and other details are given on the reverse. Please go through these instructions carefully and come prepared for the Aptitude Test. Based on the result of this Test, selected students will be invited to appear for an interview to be held at various centers in the country during the month of December 2011/January 2012. Letters inviting selected students for interview will be dispatched in the fourth week of November 2011. Kindly bring the Admit Card along with you for the examination. Produce the same to the invigilator on request. Students without the Admit Card will not be permitted to appear for the written test. Please note that expenses towards travel, boarding and lodging will NOT be reimbursed by KVPY for attending the Aptitude Test. STREAM SA KVPY SCIENCE STREAM FELLOWSHIPS 2011 - SA APTITUDE TEST INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS

Note: You are eligible to write this examination only if you have joined XI standard (Basic Science Subjects) during the academic year 2011-2012 and have secured a minimum of 80% marks (70% in case of SC/ST category) aggregate in Mathematics and Science subjects in X Standard Board Examination, and studying in a recognised regular school/college. 1. You are advised to come to the examination center at least half an hour before commencement of the test (i.e. 9.30 a.m.). 2. 1. 2. each center. Please check the location of your room. Before entering the room, please show your ADMIT CARD to the Invigilator. The syllabus for the aptitude test is broadly equivalent to the X standard level of National and State Board Examinations. The test is of 3 hours duration (10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m). The question paper consists of two parts (both contain only multiple choice questions) for 100 marks. It consists of 60 questions of 1 mark each and 20 questions of 2 marks each. There will be four sections allotted for (1) Mathematics, (2) Physics, (3) Chemistry and (4) Biology. All questions are compulsory. The composition of the question paper is given in the table below: Sl. 7. The answer paper is machine readable. The answer to each question is to be entered in OMR sheet only. 8. For each question, indicate your answer by filling the corresponding oval with a HB pencil only. 9. For each question there will be four choices given and only one of them is the correct answer. Fill only one oval per question. If you mark more than one oval, it will be considered as an incorrect answer. 10. If you wish to change your answer, please erase the existing mark completely before marking the other oval. 11. There is negative marking for wrong answers. Unanswered questions will not be evaluated and will not be penalized as a wrong answer. 12. In Part - I each correct answer gets 1 mark and for each incorrect answer 0.25 mark will be deducted. In Part - II each correct answer gets 2 marks and for each incorrect answer 0.5 mark will be deducted. 13. You are permitted to use a non programmable calculator. 14. If you have NOT furnished the photograph, you are requested to bring with you an attested photograph. 15. Kindly note that OMR sheet has to be returned to the invigilator before leaving the room. 16. Candidates are permitted to carry question paper after the examination. 17. Inside the Examination Hall the use of Mobile Phone is prohibited.
