ALU India UMTS NodeB Modem (L1, L2 and Call Processing) Team

ALU India UMTS NodeB Modem team works on UMTS Layer 1 baseband processing, UMTS Layer 2 HSDPA/HSUPA Schedulers and UMTS Call processing. The team charter is full ownership (Requirements review, design, coding, unit testing, performance tests, related 3GPP conformance tests and FOA/GA support) of software components that are delivered from India. The team has full ownership of DSP firmware of two UMTS modem cards and works in equal partnership mode for current and next generation modem cards in multi-site development environment. The UMTS Layer 1 baseband (DSP) is C based DSP processor development covering signal processing aspects. The UMTS Layer 2 is C++ and VxWorks based development covering Baseband resource control and Schedulers. The UMTS Call processing is C++ and VxWorks based development covering NBAP-d protocol and modem call processing. The Layer 1 Integration & Test is script based test development activity covering functional testing of UMTS HSDPA/HSUPA Layer 1. The UMTS Modem Level 3 support function is responsible to provide fixes for high priority stability/KPI problem reports and to dispatch modem problem reports to design teams after detailed analysis. 6 positions open for highly motivated and energetic Software Engineers, Senior Software Engineers, Lead Engineers and Technical Specialists with strong UMTS/LTE/WiMax/GPRS Base station knowledge, problem solving skills and analytical ability.
