Student Organizations
Christ the Incarnate Word Christ the Incarnate Word, otherwise known as CIW, was established to help college students grow in faith and establish fellowship within the Catholic community at the University of Texas at Austin. We build our faith through praise and worship, bible study, and service. We meet every Tuesday at 7:00pm in the St. Matthew room, which is on the second floor of the UCC. Please feel free to drop by whenever you would like! For more information, please contact Vy Hoang at ciw@utcatholic.org.

Catholic Campaign for Human Development Next weekend, we will take up a collection that helps fight poverty at its roots. For over 40 years, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has provided funding for groups that make lasting change and uplift the poor in the United States. The collection has helped secure funding for low-income day care centers, programs that emphasize education, and affordable housing in low-income neighborhoods. It has contributed to efforts to implement laws that enforce fair wages. Fight poverty in America. Defend human dignity. Give to the CCHD Collection. Baskets will be on the baptismal font. Changes in Mass begin November 27 Next week, we will begin Advent and we will also be implementing all the required changes in the Mass texts as mandated by the Holy Father. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops offers an extensive web page devoted to the changes. Please visit the site for more information and to prepare yourself for the changes: www.usccb.org/romanmissal Micah 6 Food Pantry The UCC participates in the ecumenical Micah 6 Food Pantry through donation and volunteering on Thursdays and Saturdays. Dont forget our neighbors who have nothing. Please bring canned goods and packaged dry goods to Sunday Mass and place them in the baskets near the baptismal font. We ask that you continue to support the Micah 6 Food Pantry with your generous donations.

Paulist Fathers Mission Statement We give the Word of God a voice in pulpits and print, on radio and television, on the Web and the wide screen. We search out those who have no church home, and welcome home those who have been away. We share the passion of St. Paul for unity in faith and solidarity in mission among all the baptized in the body of Christ. We build bridges of respect and collaboration with people of other world religions. We welcome people of diverse racial and cultural backgrounds in our parish, city center and campus worshipping communities. The Gospel we preach calls for all the children of God to be treated with dignity and justice. We claim Isaac Hecker as our founder, the Holy Spirit as our primary guide, St. Paul as our patron and laity as our valued partners in mission. We are the Paulist Fathers.
