1. PHYSICAL FACILITIES Adequate infrastructure facilities to conduct the educational programmes.The growth of the infrastructures keep space with the academic developments in the institution.
In terms of physical infrastructure (class room, administrative buildings, transport,

water, power supply etc., to run the academic program). Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College has excellent infrastructural facilities for in its campus. Our campus includes the following UG and PG courses. UG Courses Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Information Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. PG Courses Department of Master of Computer Applications, Department of Management Business and Administration. Master of Technology (Computer Science Engineering DCS & Networking,

Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Power Electronics).

Back-up power supply Generator set, sufficient portable water is available in the campus. The CSE Department has equipped each Faculty with computers, internet facility, library, conference room and washes room. To successfully run the academic programs in our Department has ample no of classrooms and laboratories. Daily schedule of our college is from 09.15am to 5:00 pm. There is separate library for our department faculty. Transport facility is also provided for students coming from surrounding areas such as puducherry, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Tindivanam, Panruti. Other facilities include clean drinking Mineral Water, Canteen, Women's Rest Room and Telephone. a, Academic activities:
For academic activities the following facilities are available. Our Department has Lecture

Hall, Seminar Hall, Staff Rooms and well equipped laboratories like Centre 1, Centre 2, New Centre1, and CP lab with 8 MBPS internet Facility.
To provide computer aided teaching to students our staff members use Black Board, LCD

Projectors, and OHP Projector. b. Co-curricular activities Our department arranging Guest Lectures, Industrial Visit, Placement Programmes, Campus connect Programmes for the students. Our department organizes workshops, seminars, technical events, National and International conferences, etc. 2. MAINTENANCE OF INFRA STRUCTURE Effective mechanism for the infrastructure facilities and promote the optimum use of the same. 3. LIBRARY AS LEARNING RESOURCE The library holdings in terms of books, journals and other learning materials and technologyaided learning mechanisms which enable students to acquire information, knowledge and skills required for their stud Programmes.
Our department has facilities available in the library such as various computer department

books, bibliographic compilation, reference section, new arrivals section, CDs and DVDs.
Our department having more than 321 books, 139 titles, 32 Lecturer notes CD, 50 video

lecturer CD, 50 E-books CD, 241 proceeding journals and hard copy materials.
Our faculty members are utilizing the computer science department library.

4. ICT AS LEARNING RESOURCES The ICT facilities and other learning resources are adequately available in the institution for academic purposes.
In CSE department provided various computer laboratories. These labs are maintained by

a Senior Lab In-charge and assisted by Lab Assistants.


In our department have its own computer laboratories which are accessible by students

and faculty member.


Faculty members are provided with computers with internet browsing facility for

preparation of teaching/learning materials in their respective departments. Also LCD projectors, OHPs are available within the department for the facultys use.
The Department also has seminar halls equipped with projectors and are available as and

when requested by a particular Faculty. The Department also has fully air-conditioned multimedia seminar hall, Internet facility and Libraries are provided to faculty members for learning materials. Also the faculty is provided with Audio-Visual aids which facilitate multimedia teaching.

5. OTHER FACILITIES The other supportive facilities on the campus, which contribute to the effective ambience for curricular, extra-curricular and administrative activities. a.curricular
Our department conducting pre-placement training for the students.

Our department arranged Industrial visits, In-plant training. We are allowing our students to participate in other college events like Paper presentation, conference, seminars and workshop. b.Extra - curricular
Our college conducting various sports events like Cricket, Kabaddi, Hockey, Volley ball,

Chess, Badminton and basketball. We are allowing our students to participate in other college tournaments. 6. BEST PRACTICES IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND LEARNING RESOURCES Good hostel facilities catering to the needs of the students which provide healthy learning ambience and access to the student community. Library is kept open for long hours after the class hours. The Labs are opened earlier or remain opened for an ex tended period of lime as and when the demand arises. New instruments software and other resources are procured by our department needs.
