PREFACE
After completing three trimesters of post graduate diploma in management, I joined Kotak Mahindra insurance company ltd. for my summer training for duration of 8 weeks. The title of my project is TO STUDY THE PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SYSTEM OF KOTAK MAHINDRA OLD MUTUAL FUND LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY LTD.. The objective of the project is to study and determine the satisfaction level of the Employees in the company. This project report is a review based on theory as well as research. The research report starts with Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Fund Life Insurance Company ltd. background and explains the companys PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL SYSTEM in detail. It explains the various methods undertaken to calculate the performance appraisal which includes calculating the: 1. Employee G(Goal) Review Sheet 2. Employee M(Management) Review Sheet A proper questionnaire has been prepared to study the satisfaction level of the employees in Kotak Mahindra. The report is made useful for readers by incorporating Suggestions and Recommendations for all concerned on how to make a grand success of appraisal system followed by their organizations. In conclusion, this project report will enable one to understand the concept of Performance Appraisal in Kotak Mahindra The report will also help us to understand benefits and drawbacks of present appraisal system.
