SALES AND MARKETING

GENERAL MISSION Develop and foster a positive image and fellowship between the hotel and the public, i.e. media personnel, PR agents, journalist, guests, clients and the community.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS The Public Relation Executive performs her duties within the framework defined by the chain and hotel norms and by internal rules and regulations.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES The Public Relations Executive assists in drawing up the Public Relation action, advertising and media plan in conjunction with the Public Relation Manager annually. Assist PR manager in advertising production.

Maintain and update record of media, journalists mailing list. Revise and update the press kit both in English and in Mandarin.

Report immediately to Public Relation Manager of important news as well as major competitors news that receives cover in the media. Responsible for English and Mandarin press clippings and filing. Assist in the production of hotel's by-monthly newsletter. Assist in organize and host the monthly Cocktail party of the hotel for long term and regular guests. To arrange press conference and press interviews as and when required. Handle correspondence when required. Update news releases/comparisons amongst other hotels monthly. Write copy for F & B promotional materials in both English and Mandarin. Assist PR manager in drawing action and advertising plan. Entertain guests as assigned by the Public Relation Manager.

TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Keep well informed about the various outlets in the hotel. Closely observe matters pertaining to PR activities of the hotel and other hotel competitors entertainment outlets on a regular basis. Set in conjunction with the Public Relation Manager the PR strategy of the hotel. Ensure the utilization of in-house software especially the sales and catering, use it efficiently and maintain its application

SOCIAL RELATIONS Ensure optimum publicity is created for all major happenings in the hotel. Define precisely VIP guest requirements and ensures that the services offered correspond effectively to the guests requirements. Answer to complaints from the public, community, clients and guests. Assist the Public Relation Manager in preparing in-house bulletins, newsletter and guest information. Organize both Social & PR Activities internally and externally. Assist Public Relation Manager in the preparation and selection of all printed literatures, sales tools and give-aways of the hotel. Prepare news releases of events for the hotel.

FUNCTIONAL

Coordinate with other divisions departments to ensure the smooth operation of the job functions.

EXTERNAL Maintain close contact and rapport with local media and the regional trade press.

REPLACEMENT AND TEMPORARY MISSION In her absence, Public Relation Manager or staff assigned replaces her.
