ENGINE ASSY DESCRIPTION: Engines are to be sold / removed by what we call complete. The easiest way to explain it is that we sell the engine less the parts listed below as you can just use the parts off of the old engine. We do not warranty the parts left on as a courtesy we are selling an engine we warranty the engine. It is mandatory to change timing belt if it is a timing belt type engine these are a regular maintenance item that should be changed every 90,000kms on most models.

WARRANTY DETAILS RE MAJOR PART:

Engine are guaranteed against rod knock, cracked block, and excessive smoking for a period of 101 days from date of purchase unless extended warranty was purchased at time of purchase then that time period will be the allowed time period. Engine accessories or any parts other then the crankshaft, block, heads, internal valve train are not guaranteed. They are left on as a courtesy to the customer to keep labour costs down and reduce problems. This warranty terminates when an engine is disassembled or is damaged as a result of overheating or lack of lubrication. If it is a timing belt type engine and timing belt is installed incorrectly it will cause a valve to hit a piston if this is the case the warranty will be terminated. It is a growing trend in the automotive industry when quoting a engine install they quote you only to install the engine to cut costs. This is an issue with the person quoting the installation and is not covered under warranty we recommend to confirm with your mechanic what exactly they are quoting you for.
