Gov. O'Malley and the First Lady kicked off a historic trade mission to India on Monday jo more than 100 Maryland business leaders, educators and elected officials. As China's cost advantage shrinks relative to North America some are predicting a U.S. manufacturing resurgence. The Boston Consulting Group reported transportation goods, equipment/appliances, furniture, plastics and rubber products, machinery, fabricated meta and computers/electronics are most likely to see a return to the U.S. starting around 2015 sectors in which wages account for a relatively small portion of total production costs and shipping costs and logistics are critical.
