Kailey Allison has achieved Excellence in Sport and Civics and Merit in Academics. Julia Reeve has achieved Excellence in Academics and Culture and Merit in Culture. Part of the requirements to achieve Honours at MIS is to receive two Excellences and one Merit from points gained from Academics, Sports, Culture and Civics. Students must also show commitment, a positive attitude, responsibility and reliability to be eligible. All students who manage to achieve Honours at MIS have done so by actively making the most of the extension and enrichment programmes our school offers. These achievements are not only a credit to the students involved but also an outstanding example of school-wide Top left: Paris Lowe & Orrin Forsythe Bottom left: Kailey Allison & Julia Reeve. attitude, character and effort that we value in all MIS students.

We are very proud to announce to families that we have finally raised enough money to purchase our Kapa Haka Piu Piu after three years of school-wide fundraising together with grants received from Awarua Trust and Sky City. This will now complete our Kapa Haka Uniform which was designed and made last year. The Piu Piu will now be ordered and they will be ready next year, we will have a formal blessing once they are received. They take some time to make as they are all hand-made. We would like to say a huge thank you to our school families and the wider community for supporting the fundraisers over the past three years; your efforts have been very much appreciated by our school.
