Executive summery
This assignment describes a comparison between two advertisements showing Bangladeshi channel. Both the advertisement belongs to different company but the product or service category is same. So as per requirement we selected two advertisements. First selected company is Banglalink and another one is Warid telecom. In our comparison we considered the aspects, focus and themes of both ads. We found the Banglalink ad a very good standard. The sequence of the ad was mind blowing.

Comparison between two advertisements


We have selected two television advertisements whichs product or service category is same but both belong to different company. Our first selected company is Banglalink and another one is Warid telecom. Both companies are involved with mobile phone service that means both the company provides telecommunication service. So all we can say that we found different aspects from both advertisements. The significant sides and descriptions are as follows: Banglalink: Here we can watch a real life view of our local fisher society who a deprived since a long time. Through this advertisement of banglalink we get to learn how miserably the fisher society used to lead their life. But with the change of time and modern technology the life of this poor people also has been changed. We saw in the advertisement many years ago when telecommunication system was not established especially mobile sector, at that time to communicate instantly from one place to another place was very tough going and almost impossible for the poor section of people. So they used to depend on the intermediary businesspersons for business. As a result the fisher society never got their proper earning which they deserved. Through the advertisement we see that the fisherman is deceived and he could not fulfill the wish of his son. But with the change of time and developed communication system the economic condition of this society has been changed. Now they can run their business independently without any help of intermediaries. They can earn good profits now.

Advantage of this advertisement: Duration The duration is an important factor for an advertisement. The length of this ad was 1.30 minute. As the duration was a little bit long the viewers will be able to concentrate more then other ads. The background music is another important factor. The background music of Banglalink was relevant with the story of this ad.

Relevance of this ad: The fact or story of this ad is based on real life perspective. There is nothing irrelevant in this ad. So the ad is relevant. The place or site the advertiser selected for shooting the ad was relevant.

Disadvantage of this ad: The duration is also a reason of disadvantage. Because the long duration will charge a high cost.

Warid telecom: The advertising of Warid telecom was regarding a man who is a service holder. We see in this ad Mr. Zaman the model getting healthy because ha has a lot of invitations in a month. When he bought a warid mobile phone package from then the number of his friends has been increasing and now he has a lot of friends. This ad mainly focused on the FNF advantage of their product. In this ad it has shown that every one with whom he deals with become his good friend. His colleagues, boss, doctor, car driver, and neighbor even the boucher has built a good intimacy with him. Advantage of this advertisement: The only advantage of this ad that can grab the attention of viewers or customers is the FNF facility. Young people will be fascinated by this highest FNF offer.

Disadvantage of this ad:


In this advertisement the advertiser focused on one side (FNF)

but didnt mention the other call rate. So it will create a vague idea or it will create confusion among the customers. Relevance of this ad: This advertisement doesnt have something that much relevant. In this ad almost everything was arbitrary.

Evaluation of both Advertisement In the evaluation of both ad it is clear that the advertisement of Banglalink is better then the Warid telecom advertisement. Because from the beginning till end we saw an excellent presentation through the models of this ad who made it similar as real life. The fact of the ad was emotional and at the finishing we saw a happy ending of struggling people which has a very positive and good impact on viewers. All segments of customers will be convinced toward Banglalink. There was a perfect combination of sound, background music and good acting of artists. In contrast, the ad of Warid telecom was not that much effective. There was no fact and relevance. We saw in the beginning an executive is having rich food in a party, then he bought a warid package. Later we saw a lot of faces of his friends, colleague, doctor and so forth. From first to last sequence was same. This FNF advantage can only attract the young guys.

Conclusion Finally considering all aspects we evaluate the Banglalink advertisement better between two ads which contain a perfect standard.
