Installing EPC Installation CD

1. Exit any programs that are running. If you do not, the Setup program may not be able to copy some files to the appropriate directories. Insert the EPC Installation CD in your CD-ROM drive. After insert the Disc, open CD-ROM drive. (My Computer > CD-ROM Drive) CD-ROM Drive window will be appeared. Double click Setup.exe.

In the Welcome dialog box, click Next Back,Next,Cancel Using Back and Next, you can step backward and forward through the installation process to modify specifi-cations as necessary. Using Cancel, you can halt the install-ation process. When you click Cancel, you can choose to exit the Setup or resume the installation.

Complete the User Information dialog box and click Next (Enter Serial number. Without Serial number you cant click Next.) Name : Input your name.(HSCI) Company: Input your company name(HONDA) Serial : Input serial as mentioned on the label inside the CD-box. EH592908

In the Setup Component Select dialog box, check the components that you want to install and click Next to continue. database & pictures In the case you want to install EPC in Server select all components In the case you want to install EPC in Client select only Application

In the Choose Destination Location dialog box(in the case : you select application component ), click Next to accept the destination folder path show or Click Browse to select a different path, click OK, and click Next.

In the Select DB folder dialog box, Change path that is P:\ Database, click OK, and click Next. For P drive refer How to map P drive in server and client in page no. 6

In the Select Picture folder dialog box, Change path that is P:\ Picture, click OK, and click Next.

In the Select Program Folder dialog box, select the Program Folder to which program icons will be added or specify a new one and click Next.

In the Setup Information dialog box, you can confirm the path that you selected. Click OK to start installing the components that you selected.

10. In the Setup Complete dialog box, click Finish to exit Setup.

How to map P Drive in Server & Client

1. Create a folder in C Drive (C:/DMS) 2. Share this folder and give full rights to this folder.

3. Create another two subfolders in DMS folder named as Database and Picture For Database (C:/DMS/Database) For Picture (C:/DMS/Picture)

3. Click start and go to run and type

For Server create local P drive Mapping SUBST P: C:/ DMS For Client Node Create Network P Drive Mapping: SUBST P: //<Server Name>/DMS

Note: Regarding the EPC Updation CD, we have to install only application part both in client. No need to install database and picture in client.
