PRAYER AND PRAISE

Pray that the Lord would heal Jim Baker of all his cancer and other illnesses, and restore the strength of his youth. Please pray for Sharilyn's parents as her dad (Harry) has tests to see if he has colon cancer. Pray that the Lord would watch over those people in our community who are experiencing difficulties over the Christmas season. May Jesus use us to be His hands and feet to help where there is need. Pray that the Lord would inspire and guide the Childrens Ministry Team as they put the finishing touches to the Childrens Christmas Presentation. Remember creative-access workers around the world. Pray for protection, good health, and opportunities to share the good news. Pray that contacts will be drawn to Jesus. Pray that God will break down strongholds and give courage and boldness to national believers.

Are you new to this facility?

We know that it can take a lot of energy to attend a new church, so please note that: The toilets are located down the passage to the right as you exit the sanctuary. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service in the Creche, and 5-13 year olds are dismissed part way through the service for Sunday School. Information on who we are, as well as on all of our ministries are available online at www.whac.net.nz Each week, we share a cuppa together after the service, and would love for you to stay for a chat.

You can be a BIG part of it too!

The Community Christmas Celebration is a chance for all of us to get involved in blessing and helping our community; to truly be a part of something that the Lord will use to build bridges of faith into the lives of those around us. As such, we're looking for people to help in the following ways: Three people to help bake and assemble gingerbread houses, and bag lollies the week leading up to the Celebration. Three people to fill water balloons and prepare a craft for the kids the day of the Celebration. Four people to work in the kitchen, cutting meat, fruit and dessert the day of the Celebration. Two people to set up the hall the day of the Celebration. Three people to help the magician/ventriloquist during the service by supervising, plus lead a craft. Four people to help decorate the church the week of December 4. A small army to help clean up following the Celebration.

The Community Christmas Celebration, 17TH December 2011

This year, our celebrations will feature fabulous carols, guest musicians, a childrens entertainer, a sumptuous meal, and our very own church choir! This is an invite everyone you know to join you evening that starts at 5:00 with punch in the foyer. The evening is completely free, however, please plan to bring a salad and dessert to share with our guests.

Please stay for a cup of tea or coffee in the hall or for prayer with an Elder in the Sanctuary.

Christmas Weekend MINISTRIES FOR CHILDREN at WHAC

Ages 0-1 Ages 2-4 Ages 5 - 13 If you need to take your infant out of the service, a play area has been set up in the foyer for your convenience. The Preschool ministry begins at the start of the service, and is located diagonally to the left as you exit the sanctuary. Kids club takes place in the hall during the sermon. A notice will appear on the screen when it is time to dismiss your children. With Christmas being a Sunday morning, we know that many of you will be spending time with friends and family all over NZ. And so, to make life a little less hectic, we will be hosting identical services on Christmas Eve from 7:00 (followed by a light supper), and Christmas morning from 10:30 (starting with morning tea). You are all welcome to join us at whatever time suits you best.

A Financial Update
Did you know that after the first quarter of our financial year, we are 15% ($2,000) ahead of targeted giving?!? Praise the Lord and good for you! At WHAC, we dont give to a budget, or even to the church, instead, we give to worship and glorify God, and I trust that He has been through our offerings to Him.

Prayer at WHAC
Prayer night: Join us in the church 15 December 2011 Focus: Families in Trouble Please note, this is our last meeting until February 2012

Next weekend
We get to enjoy a fabulous new look Christmas presentation featuring our very own Sunday School children. With this being a special weekend, families are encouraged to bring some treats to share over morning tea.

It's a real joy and honour and blessing to be a part of something like our Community Christmas Celebration. Thank you for giving your time to help in it!
