To unlatch the hood, pull the release lever. The hood should pop up slightly.

To engage the parking brake, depress the parking brake pedal. To disengage the parking brake, depress the parking brake pedal a second time.

To engage the parking brake, pull the lever up as far as possible. To disengage the parking brake, pull the lever up and press the thumb button. Then, while holding the button in, lower the brake lever.

During off-road or low-friction driving conditions, press the AWD lock button to drive in full-time AWD dividing the power between the front and rear wheels (for vehicles equipped with optional AWD). The AWD lock indicator light in the instrument cluster is illuminated. To turn AWD lock off, press the button again. The AWD lock indicator should go off.
Push the lever forward. Flash-to-Pass Feature: Pull the lever towards you and release.

1. Press the front window defroster button 13 . (The A/C will turn on automatically and the Fresh mode will be activated.) 2. Set the fan speed 06 to the highest setting. 3. Set the temperature 05 to the desired setting. notE: If the air conditioner filter for the evaporator blower is not replaced per the scheduled maintenance section, excessive window fogging may result. This filter is located in the evaporator housing behind the glove box. Your dealer can replace this filter for you.
Press the DUAL button 11 to operate the driver and passenger side temperatures individually. The indicator light on the button will illuminate. Press the DUAL button again to deactivate DUAL mode (The indicator light on the button goes off.) The passenger side temperature 10 will be set to the same as the driver side temperature.
Press the air quality system button 08 to turn the air quality system on. The light on the button will be illuminated when the system is activated.

To fold the rear seat forward for access to the 3rd row:

Lower the headrest to the lowest position. Pull the seatback folding lever, then push down the seatback until it locks into place. Pull the seat cushion release lever on the side or rear of the seat and then fold up the seat.

Lower the headrest to the lowest position. To fold down the seatback, pull the seatback folding lever and then push down the seatback. To return the seatback to its normal position, reverse the above procedure.

ComPASS FunCtion
The compass can be turned ON and OFF and will remember the last state when the ignition is cycled. To turn the display feature ON/OFF: 1. Press and release the button to turn the display feature OFF. 2. Press and release the button again to turn the display back ON. Additional options can be set with press and hold sequences of the button and are detailed in the Owners Manual.

Insert disc into rear CD/DVD slot (the front CD slot does NOT support DVD playback). Open the LCD display. To enable audio: Press CD/RSE until RSE MODE appears on the front audio display screen. OR press the MODE button on the steering wheel controls until RSE MODE is displayed. To disable the rear controls, press and hold CD/RSE for two seconds. To re-enable the rear controls, press and hold CD/RSE for an additional two seconds. Eject disc by pressing next to the rear CD/DVD slot.

Other audio options: To listen to the regular car stereo while simultaneously using RSE, use the front controls to change to the desired audio mode. Alternatively, press MODE on the steering wheel controls. Use the headsets to listen to RSE audio at any time (Note that headsets will not function when used from the front seats).
