TUBULAR GEL VRLA BATTERIES

Telecom Applications

Storage Battery Systems Inc. is an acknowledged leader in the field of specialized batteries and DC power systems. A strong R & D focus and a broad product range enables SBS to offer its customers the appropriate technology suited for their applications.

Requirements of Telecom applications

Everywhere, power outages are frequent and for c a n l a st f o r long durations. Added to this, pressure to reduce costs of telecom equipment is forcing the batteries out of air-conditioned rooms to roadside shelters exposing them to higher temperatures. Th e net result is the need for a heavy duty, robust, deep cycling battery less sensitive to high temperature. To meet such rigors of usage HBL NIFE introduces a maintenance free (no water top-up) 'Tubular Gel VRLA

battery' with unbeatable combination of Tubular plate and gelled electrolyte, first time ever in India. The Battery works on the gas recombination principle and has been designed to meet the requirements of wide range of applications.

Design & Construction

Positive Plate Tubular Plate with lead-calcium-tin alloy spine grid and woven polyester gauntlet. Negative Plate Flat pasted plate with lead-calcium alloy grid and long life expander material. Separator Micro porous synthetic separator. Electrolyte Sulfuric acid, immobilized as Gel. Container & Cover Polypropylene, flame retardant is optional. Valve Self-resealing, Pressure-regulating and Explosionproof with flame arrestor. Terminals Epoxy sealed terminals with threaded lead-plated inserts. Steel trays Acid resistant, epoxy coated, stackable boxes for easy installation. Connectors Lead plated solid copper connectors.
