Attention Spanish Speaking Voters: For our voters
that prefer to read the ballot, voting guide and ballot
initiatives in Spanish, the Eagle County Clerk and
Secretary of State have made translated documents
available upon request. To request these documents
in advance call the Eagle County Clerks office at
970.328.8715. You will also find these documents
at the polling locations on Election Day, Nov. 4th.
On November 4th we can make history by replacing perhaps the worst president
in modern times with a Democrat in touch with American values and interests at home
and abroad. We can also increase our hard won Democratic margin in the US Senate
and maintain our Democratic seat in the US House of Representatives. Colorado is
considered a swing state and will play a key role in this election.
Eagle County Democrats are leading the way in Western Colorado.
Eagle County Dems recently overcame the Republicans in voter registration. Now we
need to turn the state of Colorado blue by making sure all voters vote. We delivered our
county for Presidential Candidate John Kerry in 2004 and Governor Bill Ritter in 2006. If
we can increase our turnout this year, we can win for our Presidential candidate, Barack
Obama, and for our U.S. Senate candidate, Mark Udall, we can help turn all of
Colorado blue. We can keep the 2nd congressional district in Democratic hands by sup-
porting our Congressional Candidate, Jared Polis.
County Democrats are fielding an excellent
contingent of state legislators and commissioner candidates who
need your votes to serve, respect, and listen to the people of our
county. Finally, there are many questions on the ballot that touch
on issues at the core of Democratic Party values. We must focus
our attention on these issues that will impact all Colorado citizens
as we address the challenges of the 21st century. The Eagle
County Democrats have taken the time to review and make
recommendations on these measures.
Please consider the voting recommendations
provided here by the Eagle County Democrats
Central and Executive Committees. Most of all,
we again urge you to VOTE. The opportunity for
real change is too great and the stakes are too
high to miss participating in this critical election!
