1 VOTING BY MAIL
Voting by mail is just like regular voting except that your ballot comes to you in the mail well
before Election day. You fill it out completely at home and return it to the Eagle County Clerk.
To Get Your Mail-in Ballot:

Pick up a Mail-in ballot application at the Eagle County Clerk’s office.

Or download it from the Secretary of State’s Election Center web page
http://www.elections.colorado.gov

Application must be at the clerk's office on or before the October 28th deadline
to receive a ballot in the mail. You can drop it off at any of the Eagle County clerk’s
offices (below), fax it to 970.328.8716 or mail to 500 Broadway, Suite 101,
PO Box 537, Eagle, Colorado 81631.
When you receive your Mail-In ballot:

Fill the target rectangle completely for each race and avoid stray marks and smudges.

It must be returned to the County Clerk’s office before 7pm on Nov. 4th.

If returned by mail, mail it by October 31st to be safe. Make
sure you sign it properly and add appropriate postage.

If returned by hand delivery, get it there on or before Election Day, Nov. 4.
If the ballot arrives after 7pm on Election Day it will not be counted. If you mail it, call the Clerk's
Office before election day to check that your ballot arrived. Better yet, return the voted ballot by
hand on or before election day to the Clerk’s offices in Eagle, Avon or El Jebel. Mail-in ballots will
not be accepted at your polling place.

EARLY VOTING
2 Early voting is similar to voting on Election Day except that it is only on electronic voting
machines and not on paper. It happens at the County Clerk's offices, weekdays, in Eagle, Avon or
El Jebel between Oct 20th and Oct. 31st, 8 am – 5 pm. and Saturday, Oct. 25th- 9am-1pm.
VOTING AT THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY NOVEMBER 4TH
3 Precinct polling locations are noted in this voter guide. If you are not sure of your
precinct number, contact the County Clerk’s office at 328-8715 or online at:
http://www.eaglecounty.us/clerk/pollinglocations.cfm

You must vote at your Precinct Polling Place. (Polls are open from 7a.m. to 7p.m.)

You must be in line with proper identification before 7p.m. in order to vote.
The address on your license does not have to be up to date if the license is from
Colorado. Call the Clerk's office before election day if you think you might have
any problem with id at the polls.
