Problem Determine the viability of a nationwide internet access business model. Solution Lead cross-functional team to test and validate business model assumptions and then upon project approval, build out nationwide network for launch of internet access service. Results Tested and validated business model and then raised $41Mil from CEO and CFO of Sprint Canada to build internet access service across Canada. Problem - Employees require easy and secure network access from home. Solution - Co-founded a new VPN Software as a Service (SaaS) company to address unmet B2B need. Results Raised over $600K and tested B2B concept with hundreds of employees at Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Manulife Insurance but ran out of funding within 18 months. Problem Feeding 10,000 soldiers in a war zone after a fire wiped out the only dining facility. Solution Lead a team of subject matter experts to develop a course of action that is fast, comprehensive, and achievable to sustain 10,000 people with 3 meals per day until a new dining facility can be built. Results Consolidated all mobile kitchen resources from every unit, implemented multiple queuing lines, extended feeding hours and employed a simplified menu for a period of 3 weeks to deliver 30,000 meals per day until a new dining facility was erected awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
