Seat Belts

According to some research report from the National Highway Traffic and safety Administration from USA,seatbelts save approximately 13,000 lives in the United States each year. Furthermore, the NHTSA estimates that 7,000 U.S. car accident fatalities would have been avoided if the victims had been wearing seatbelts. A seat belt is sometimes called a safety belt in some countries, seat belts is a safety object used in cars or sometimes also known as the car harness and is designed to secure the car passenger of the vehicle from any harmful movement in the car that may result from a collision or a sudden stop that can injure or kill the person. This safety equipment is a part of an overall automobile or car online system, seat belts seat belts are intended and built to reduce injuries by stopping the passenger from hitting hard interior objects or exterior objects of the vehicle, or other passengers, Seat belts are in the correct position for the airbag to deploy and prevent the passenger from being thrown from the vehicle to the road. Seat belts also absorb energy by being designed to stretch during any sudden deceleration, so that there is less speed differential between the passengers body and the passengers or owners of the vehicle interior, and also to spread the loading of the impact on the passengers body and reduce the amount of damage. Benefits and limitations

Benefits:

Limitations:

Often, they contribute to accident-related injuries, as is described by the term seat belt syndrome. In many cases, the fibres of the seat belt can cause harm to the chest and abdominal areas. Children are at the highest risk for seat-belt-related injuries and should be closely monitored after a car crash even if they appear unharmed at the first glance. Most injuries that are cause to drivers and passengers are cause by being in contact with the steering wheel, dashboard, windscreen and the sides of the roof of the vehicle. Lap and shoulder belts have proven their value in preventing severe or fatal injury in the majority of crashes. Cars with advanced seat belt features that provide even greater protection are becoming more available every time.
