A TRAKSYONG MAGAGANDA SA BUSTOS D IGITAL PHOTO COMPETITION

PARTICIPANTS Participation to both contest categories is open to all Filipinos, except employees of the Municipal Government of Bustos, Bulacan, and relatives of and those living in the same household of such employees. For the Atraksyong Magaganda sa Bustos Digital Photo Competition, entrants may either be amateur or professional photographers. MECHANICS Atraksyong Magaganda sa Bustos Digital Photo Competition a. The subject of the digital photo competition is tourist destinations in Bustos. b. All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, crop ping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified. Multiple exposures that have been combined to produce a single "High Dynamic Range" image are acceptable. Images that do not meet these requirements may or may not be judged at the judging panel's sole discretion. c. Entrants can submit up to two (2) photos and must be taken within June 2011 to January 2012, and should not have won any competition nor have been entered in the Atraksyong Magaganda sa Bustos Competition of Minasa Festival 2011. d. Each entry should be in 8R, encased in black picture frame with glazing (glass) and with white matting. A digital copy stored in a compact disc, saved as JPEG in RGB/sRGB color gamut/mode, no less than compression 7 (medium) will also be submitted together with the Entry Registration Form. The back of the frame and the face of the disc should be labeled with the title of the photograph, entrants name, contact number and address. e. Deadline of submission of entries is on 08 January 2012 until 8:00 pm at the Aklatang Bayan, Municipal Government Compound of Bustos, Bulacan. Judging will be at the exhibit opening on 16 January 2012. Winners will be announced during the Konsyerto sa Parke on 21 January 2012. f. Digital copies of all entries will be posted beginning 09 January 2012 in www.facebook.com/bustos.gov. It will be open to public voting via the number of likes each entry will generate. g. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs. h. By entering the competition all entrants grant to the Municipal Government of Bustos the right to publish and exhibit their Page 1 of 2

photographs in any medium. No fees will be payable for any of the above uses. While the Municipal Government of Bustos will make every effort to credit photographers, including in printed reproductions of their work, the Municipal Government of Bustos cannot guarantee that every broadcast use of the photographs will include photographers names. All entries will be judged by a panel of judges. The criteria for judging is as follows: - Visual appeal and composition (30%) - Commercial appeal (20%) - Interpretation of the theme (20%) - Technical ability (20%) - Originality (10%) - Plus: Public Voting Score (The total number of likes of each photograph The prizes are: - 1 st prize: PhP 5,000.00 and plaque - 2 nd prize: PhP 3,000.00 and plaque - 3 rd prize: PhP 2,000.00 and plaque
