Name of the Project: Self-care and healthy life School: San Rafael Arcangel Level: 8 grade Number of students: Date: I. a. Planning the classroom project Purpose of the project

The purpose of this project is to develop the students abilities of Listening and Writing and to let them reflect on self-care and healthy life, also students are going to practice the future tense. b. Analysis of the situation The Self-care and Healthy life project was created as a result of a survey, where students answered a series of questions regarding what they would like to work in an English class. In the survey students were asked about with what they would like to work and what they would like to do. 60 Percent , 21 students, of the kids chose work with a Listening-Writing activity. They selected that the first one is going to be about self care and healthy life and the second is going to be a writing reflection about the topic of the Listening.

Definition and feasibility

The students have chosen the theme and ability that they want to develop. As a result, we have Choose the name of the project as Self-care and Healthy life.

The activity will be worked in pairs of four students by activities of pre, while, and post listening. The while-listening activity is constituted by a variety of activities related to the listening theme. This work will be evaluated by a post writing activity through out in which the students have to produce language in order to create a reflection showing what they understood and learnt about the topic. The feasibility of the project is that several activities that will be developed along the implementation of the class project have the total permission given by the English class teacher, so it can be done without any problem. It is also important to say that the project focuses on the key objectives set out by the Study program of 8th grade. As well it should mentioned that the project to be carried out is taking into consideration the minimum

contents set by the national curriculum and will also fulfill the fundamental objective by strengthening the cross-development ethical and intellectual development of students. The situation came be considered as a pro at the time it allows us to ensure that the activities are consistent with the level of conceptual and linguistic development of the students of the course. Finally, its important to say that as well planned activities we have all the resources needed to develop the activities (human and material resources).

Identification of prior knowledge With the purpose to define the pre- project built skills of the students in relation to the topic that is going to be worked trough out the project, it was made a constant and regular observation of the students in the classroom as well as prior-knowledge guide which focused vocabulary related to the topic e. Warm-up activity

Presentation of a power point showing images of different people doing sports and healthy things and lazy people doing non-healthy things in order to make a contrast. While-listening/writing - Students are going to hear a dialogue about how to be healthy. - Students are going to hear the dialogue again in order to answer some questions and confirm their predictions. - Students are going to answer some general questions about the dialogue. - Students are going to answer a true or false activity about specific information of the dialogue. - Students are going to join some words in order to form the correct sentence in future tense. Post- listening/writing - Students are going to make future sentences with modal will with the words given. - Students are going to join each word with its correct meaning. - Students are going to make a reflexion showing what they will do to have a healthy life.
