Dear Mr. Goldfarb: On October 24, 2011, my colleague Chuck Royce received your October 21, 2011 letter regarding Tom Grossi's July 7, 2011 PRA request. We understand that Mr. Grossi, in response to the District's September 29, 2011 Letter, has clarified his July request and, as indicated in your October 21, 2011 letter, has identified several categories of documents that have not been produced that he believes would be responsive to his July request. To the extent that the documents exist, we are working with the District now to collect and produce such documents within the next 30 days. In addition, your October 21, 2011 letter includes a supplemental request for three additional categories of documents. Again, to the extent that the documents exist, we are working with the District now to collect and produce the documents responsive to the supplemental requests. As a result, there is no need to contact the School District's PRA officer with these supplemental requests. As you know, the District must not only search for potentially responsive records but also must evaluate what exemptions to disclosure may apply. We anticipate that multiple exemptions may apply to your supplemental request, including but not limited to: RCW 42.56.280 (pertaining to active agency deliberative processes) and RCW 42.56.290 (attorney-client privileged communications and attorney work product). Overall, we anticipate that this process will take between 30-45 days. We will provide you a status report within the next 15 days on the collection and production of documents responsive to both the July 2011 request and the October 21, 2011 supplemental request. In
