Focus on Success

Bob Shontz is a Founding Member of GIN and has been with the team since the beginning of the beginning. I already knew I was going to be a Founder when I met Kevin and he mentioned Founders Membership in July he says. His life has changed dramatically since joining GIN.
These days, the phone rings 24/7. My business (bull-riding, team-roping, putting on events and concerts) has increased 100 fold and I never advertise. You get 100 fold back when what you are doing is in your sweet spot. Before I was a slave to my business I was 99% action and 1% thought. I was worried about how things would turn out, worried about having enough advertising. I dont advertise anymore! I already have jobs lined up! Bob puts a high priority on GIN and is in alignment to allow it to grow into a flourishing business. When I am busy with GIN, and I dont want work to come my way, it doesnt. As soon as I am back from an event or finish a training series, business explodes! At this point, his primary focus is on GIN. He never forgets to Talk About GIN. There is nothing I love more now it is my sweet spot. I probably spend all day on GIN. Even when I am working on my other business, I talk to people about GIN. Each persons method of promotion is distinctive and will work to different degrees for different people. Bobs preferred method, which led him to his success, is face-to-face promotion. People start clinging to you because of your energy. Then you let your gut feelings take over. My gut tells me the right moment, and I start telling them how GIN has changed my life and all of the benefits. Im helping people find the best opportunity of their lives and it feels great! GIN gives you knowledge and not only that you learn how to use it. I have no doubt, even before I talk to someone. I dont worry about it I dont think about the how, I think about the when. Bob has made use of and continues to utilize all the resources GIN has to offer. He is plugged into the system and it has paid off. I love everything GIN has to offer! Im connected with like-minded people. I attend the events. The knowledge is astounding. Ive learned more with GIN in six months than the prior 20 years! The business aspect of GIN is groundbreaking; Ive always wanted to help people achieve, and GIN gives me the platform to do this. Lastly, Bob was asked about the Law of Attraction and when he actually knew that it was real: In 2004, I organized, ran, and hosted a huge team roping events. Twelve hundred teams came from around the country. I booked five big bands for the event and it was amazing. I had not done this before, but I knew I could. I did it all by myself. I never thought wouldnt it be nice because I knew it was going to happen. I decided to do another one, but this time when I was putting it together, I had doubt. It wasnt successful. When I listened to the Your Wish is Your Command CDs it dawned on me why the first event was successful and the second wasnt. The second didnt happen because I had doubt. When I expected success, it came into my life. The Your Wish is Your Command CDs and my association with GIN have given me the tools and the confidence to stamp out doubt. No one can bring me down anymore! Bob knows that if you do what you love, it will be easy. Everyone has a gift - you just have to find it. Today is today, and yesterday is gone. You may not have heard of him but chances are youve used his products. One could now call him the Shampoo King; however, his beginnings were not so regal. He started out selling shampoo door to door and living in his car. Believe it or not, he founded his startup in 1980 with $700.
Thirty years later, Paul Mitchell Systems has revenues of over $900 million per year and he is the majority stakeholder. He went on to have more great success founding Patron Spirits Company in 1989, another winning business empire (in which he holds a 70% stake). The House of Blues nightclubs, DeJoria Diamonds, GFI, Solar Utility, NRG Natural Gas, Skidmore Energy, and even a Harley Davidson dealership are part of his portfolio. He is a visionary businessman with an estimated net worth of $4 billion. Before he became astoundingly wealthy, he was a member in a street gang. His high school math teacher told him that he would never, ever succeed at anything in life. In the early years he did odd jobs to pay the bills. You could say he earned a real world education as he never went to college. His sweet spot is his business. My passion is in the professional beauty industry. I love it; its exciting. I look at his face and his demeanor and I can see that he feels good. He is vibrant, enthusiastic, excited, and considers himself one of the luckiest human beings on the planet. His life history corresponds with his perceived self-worth. He expected luck. He says he always had a good attitude. He believes there is an energy going on, and a lot of things are meant to happen. He and his beautiful wife of seventeen years have six children. He owns twelve homes from Beverly Hills to Austin to Hawaii. You can find him out and about attending movie premieres, top awards ceremonies, and charity events with the rest of the worlds elite. With his unbridled good vibration, we at GIN know it is fated that success came his way. He had the right attitude, an obsession, a sweet spot, and the willingness to work and look at where he is today! These are qualities that you can cultivate within yourself as well. Nugget 1: Anyone who wants to go for any kind of business, whether it is a tangible product or a service, must be patient and be ready for rejection. Knock on door #11 with the same excitement and enthusiasm as door #1 and eventually you will succeed. When he started John Paul Mitchell Systems with his business partner, hairstylist John Paul Mitchell, they searched high and low for investors. Finally, an investor offered a $500,000 investment, but at the last minute, that investor fell through. He overcame the rejection, and with $700, he and his partner successfully founded John Paul Mitchell Systems. Nugget 2: The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is successful people do all the things unsuccessful people dont want to do. For John Paul this meant traveling around the country with shampoo bottles in his trunk and making deals with hair salons.

seminar I am asked to do. In April the subject will be Train Your Brain. Based on 1100 pages of science text, this training will teach you to actually change the neural pathways of your brain through plasticity. You can conquer habits that have frustrated you for years. You can train your brain to produce success. For example, research that was conducted by Dr. Jeffrey Schwartz at UCLA Medical School uses plasticity to change behavior. While most of his colleagues use drugs to force change, Dr. Schwartz uses the plasticity approach. He has found that if you commit yourself to think a certain way for 32 straight days, your brain will actually change to support that new thought. A surprising result of this study is that if you make a decision to do something, your brain secretes chemicals to support that decision. However, if you dont act within 48 hours, your brain secretes chemicals producing an opposite reaction, something called a brain fog. This ultimately means that when you follow through on your decisions, your brain believes you. When you dont, your brain thinks youve lied and you have mental confusion.
