LAND RECORDS MODERNIZATION PLAN [3D land information mapping] -A CASE STUDY OF JAWAHARLAL NEHRU

TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD.

BY R.SHIVA KUMAR M.SC (GEOSPATIAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY) IN JNTUH CAMPUS

ABSTRACT The main objective of the study is to evaluate the physical characteristics and the 3D land information mapping in the study area and to develop methods for its efficient utilization and sustainable management using tools such as Remote Sensing and GIS. JNTUH is an educational Hub, students come all over the world & everyone wants to know the information about the University of JNTUH (course detail, Head of the Dept, building information, etc,) 3D model is useful for further support of JNTUH services & planning purpose. Maintenance 3D land information mapping continues to be our primary focus. enhancement. ArcGIS 9.3 enhance functionality will greatly improve the users experience with 3D spatial information and each building is an one identity & each Department of the building is an one parcel information identity, in this way the information linked with the web, by this way user can find the building information and course details, as like same way we can implement urban areas for ownership of land ,tax information, & all records where computerise. INTRODUCTION This study is to evaluates the view with the intention of three diminution (3D) interactive environments suggest better comprehension of space, depth and height than alternative two diminution (2D) method, the overall decisions that can be made using the information contained within them is enhanced. This opinion specifically focuses on the effect the mode of 3D information display has on the comprehension of information and therefore the efficiency of the decision making processes of two user-groups in the JNTUH future planning: JNTUH designers and property developers as well as 3D land records are created for the user interaction on online ( internet services & web application) . This theory specifically focuses on the effect the mode of 3D information display has on the understanding of information and therefore the efficiency of the decision making processes of two user-groups in the JNTUH future planning: JNTUH designers and property developers. By setting a comparable task, the research analysis whether digital 3D models do in fact improve the decision making process, or whether alternative 2D method are preferable when considering the speed and informed nature of the types of decisions made by these above groups within the area . 3D data representation, spatially enhances data compared to typical 2D geographically represented data. A

number of digital models have been developed to explore this human interaction with 3D data. Innovations such as NASAs World wind, Googles between these dataset STUDY AREA The project site is located at N/E of Hyderabad. JNTUH lies between the 78 2334.8"E to 78 2345.6"E degrees of longitude 17 2945.6"N to 17 29 20.4"N degrees of latitude; the total area of JNTUH is covered with 87.27 acres of land. The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was established on 2nd October 1972, at kukatpalli housing board colony. University occupied 361.260 sqm. The National Highway9 passes through the N/S of JNTUH. (580-590 mts) above mean sea level
GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Google Earth and Microsofts Virtual Earth 3D focus on the communication of data about the natural and built environment and the interactions METHODOLOGY The spatial data consists of topographic, thematic and other derivative maps derived from satellite sensing system and SOI toposheets. The satellite data used is Ikonos data, SOI toposheet series are 56K/7/NE on 1:25,000 scale. The step-by-step procedure for preparing the spatial data for the entire study area is discussed below. Step 1: Satellite data processing using image-processing software like ERDAS (Earth Resource Development Application System) and ESRI (ESRI - Environmental Analysis and Scientific Interface) and hardcopy generation Step 2: Generation of thematic map viz., land use / land cover by visual interpretation of satellite imagery and SOI toposheets. Step 3: Generation of topographical maps showing physical characteristics of the study area. The topographical maps extracted from SOI toposheets are base, road network, drainage, Step 4: Scanning and digitization of the thematic, topographic maps Step 5 Digital spatial database generation using Arc/INFO and Arc View GIS software Step 6: Generation of JNTUH Base Map, layout map, classified map, & 3D model view of JNTUH Step 7: Generation of road net work from various place to JNTUH. Networking analysis

To create a Data base of Building Information in JNTUH. To Generate 3D model view of JNTUH which is represent the landform, structure, & information of JNTUH. To generate the route map to JNTUH from various locations (Airport, Railways, Bus station,) which is the best way as like less traffic shortest distance. To create Built-up land (Buildings)into five layers(1.Educational institutes, 2.Adminisreative Building, 3.Residentials 4.Guest Houses & Boys & Girls Hostels 5.others(Banks, Temple, canteen.etc). To solve different querys to know the particular address location of feature.Publishing the 3D-JNTUH information on Internet-web services

ANALYSIS The 3D-Land records modernization plan development has been implemented for the study area in university of tangible and non-tangible as ascertained through the query results, reports, charts maps and tables. Following the basic GIS consideration first of all the layers like road net work, electric poles, Buildings, etc. has been digitized and displayed in Map window, Arc Scene, and Arc globe.

JNTUH has taken up for analysis and interpretation. The resultant facts corroborate the defined objective of establishing as exit between different parameters Analysis of fly over the area and analysis of walking in the area with coordinate. As it requires initially the attributes information relating Building information like head of the department, course details, building elevation of building etc
