Simultaneous Equations
The Simultaneous Equations workbook is aimed at improving students understanding of the graphical solutions of simultaneous linear equations.

This is a list of possible uses in the classroom. The resource has been designed to be flexible and interactive. It is mainly for use on interactive whiteboards, though not exclusively. This list is by no means exhaustive, it is just a few ideas. In a computer lab, ask students to load the workbook. Ask students to change the equations and describe what happens to the intersection point. "What is the relationship between the graphs and the equations?", "What does the intersection point reprsent?", "Which equations will always have a solution x=1, y=2?", "Can you draw the same graphs on both worksheets?", etc. Ask students, "Write down a pair of linear equations (in the form y=mx+c?) with a solution x=3, y=-2" Get the students to reveal their answers and then get them to check them using the worksheet on the interactive board.
