EDO Piezoelectric Ceramic Technology utilizes solid state actuators and sensors to solve a wide variety of active vibration control problems. These materials and devices possess piezoelectric properties whereby an electrical charge is produced for an applied mechanical stress (the Generator Effect) and conversely, a mechanical stress is produced for an applied electrical charge (the Motor Effect). This piezoelectric effect is reciprocal.
