Steel Authority of India Limited, Central Marketing Organisation will hold All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Junior Assistant (Trainee) and Translator. The selection process will comprise of Written test followed by Computer Skill / Computer Typing Test / Interview. SAIL will not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications for eligibility and other aspects at the time of written examination, and therefore, the candidature is accepted only provisionally. Grade / Scale of Pay / Emoluments The selected candidates will be initially recruited as Jr. Assistant (Trainee) and will be on training for a period of two years. During the first year, they will receive a stipend of Rs. 8250 per month. In the second year, the stipend will be Rs. 9350 per month. Upon successful completion of training of 2 years, they will be placed in S-3 grade / Rs. 9160 3% - 13150 with a minimum basic pay of Rs. 9,160/-. On placement in S3 grade, the Junior Assistants will be placed on probation for a period of one year. Upon successful completion of the probation period, they will be confirmed in the post. 6. Eligibility (a) Graduation (full time degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks (45% for SC / ST / PWD Candidates) (b) Diploma in Computer Application of minimum 1 year duration with proficiency in MS Office Package. (c) Minimum Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on PC. S3 / Rs. 9160 3% - 13150 with a minimum basic pay of Rs. 9,160/-. The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of one year. Upon successful completion of the probation period, they will be confirmed in the post. Reservation will be as per Presidential Directives / Guidelines issued by the Government of India. *Vacancies for PWD and ESM are reserved horizontally. Candidates who wish to be considered against reserved vacancies or seek age relaxation must submit requisite certificate from the competent authority, in the prescribed format at the time of Interview or whenever such certificates are sought. The formats of the certificates are annexed. If the SC / ST / OBC / PWD certificate has been issued in a language other than English / Hindi, the candidates will be required to submit a self certified translated copy of the same either in English or Hindi. The OBC candidates who belong to Creamy Layer are not entitled to OBC Concession and such candidates have to indicate their category as General. The Pay-in-Slip is to be downloaded from the website after filling in the required details. c) Candidates should have latest scanned passport size photograph as well as scanned image of signature in digital format (.jpg or jpeg file only, of less than 500 kb size) for uploading with the application form. After applying online, candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details. MODE OF PAYMENT OF EXAMINATION FEE / PROCESSING CHARGES : State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the examination fee / processing charges in a specially opened account (No.32036360352) in SBI, CAG Branch, Kolkata, on behalf of SAIL. Candidate has to approach the nearby State Bank of India branch with a printout of the pay-in-slip which is available on the Application Registration Portal. The Pay-in-Slip printed from the portal only should be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of amount in the allocated account. On receipt of the money the concerned branch of SBI will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the branch collecting the money. This Journal Number and the Branch Code are to be filled up by the candidate during online registration. There will not be any other mode of collection of examination fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility before paying the fee. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Pay in Slip and Registration Slip as they can be asked to produce them for reference. IMPORTANT: All correspondence with candidates shall be done through e-mail only. All information regarding examination schedule / admit card / interview call letters etc. shall be provided through email / uploading on SAIL website. Responsibility of receiving, downloading and printing of admit card / interview call / any other information shall be of the candidate. SAIL will not be responsible for any loss of email sent, due to invalid / wrong email ID provided by the candidate or for delay / non receipt of information if a candidate fails to access his / her mail / website in time. Candidates are not required to send any document to SAIL. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the Written Test only if they possess the valid Photo Admit Card which will be available for download from the SAIL website. Candidature of a registered candidate is liable to be rejected at any stage of recruitment process or even on joining, it any information provided by the candidate is found to be false or not in conformity with the eligibility criteria.
