Additional Notes
• Two needles sizes are not absolutely necessary. However, as a general rule it is
recommended to go down a needle size or two when doing ribbing. This results

in a tighter, neater ribbing. Otherwise, no harmful effects will be suffered if you
need to use the same size needles for the entire hat.
• This hat will most likely not require full skeins of yarn for the smaller sizes. The
contrasting color would be a good way to use up scraps.
• Please take note this hat has very little stretch due to the color work. Take note of this
when selecting a size.
• For your own sake do a gauge swatch. Gauge is vital if you want the hat to fit!
• Any yarn of your choice will work. My choice of yarn was simply because I was
using what I had on hand. Combine color and fibers you please.
• If you can’t get gauge with worsted weight yarn, try a DK or aran weight yarn.
• If you find any errors, or see a way this pattern could be improved, feel free to
contact me.
