and rear compartments. Select from various passenger and driver side compartment configurations to meet all of your storage needs. All compartment interiors have spatter finish for long life and easy cleaning. Anodized aluminum roll-up doors are standard. They have a lifetime warranty and roll up and out of the way on the site, so you can focus on your gear. Lap doors are also available. Need quick access to large items? Slide out trays with up to 500 lb. capacity and smooth-operating, ball-bearing rollers help you be more efficient when seconds count. Integral ladder storage in water tank keeps equipment out of the weather. And the available hydraulic ladder rack's unique twin actuator design frees up compartment space.
One popular option is an aluminum hosebed cover to protect your equipment from the elements. Treadplate with twist and turn fasteners make it easy to lock away and easy to get to.

Foam systems deliver improved performance, faster knockdown, reduced water consumption and safer operation for firefighters. Outfit your Contender with the Pierce Husky foam system. You can also choose the Hercules compressed air foam system, which is up to five times more effective than water alone. And, with 30 percent more range, firefighters can be both effective and safe. Or opt for Foam Pro, Elkhart or Akron single or dual agent foam systems.

The pump panel on all Contender pumpers delivers a dont-think-twice operation when you dont have a second to waste. Controls are ergonomically grouped to improve performance, reduce training time and simplify maintenance. There is also an electronic pressure governor for more precise control.

A MATERIAL DIFFERENCE IN PLUMBING.

All Contender pumpers feature stainless steel plumbing with brass and flexible hose. Our belled end fittings allow for welded joints that are stronger and less prone to leakage than threaded pipe fittings.

ROOM TO PREPARE. ROOM TO PERFORM. 300 horsepower with up to 400 available make your custom Contender as responsive as it is rugged. A 270 to 340 amp alternator provides plenty of juice to power a variety of systems. And you can specify bumper extensions from 16" to 22" with integrated hose trays, front bumper discharge and front suction to fit your needs.
Your response starts long before you reach the scene. The custom Contender offers a roomy cab, with no cross-tunnel, so the crew and command can work together. Seat four to eight comfortably. An air-ride drivers seat and air conditioning add comfort. A tilt-telescoping steering wheel and large

west coast mirrors give you better control and better vision. There's even an available EMS cabinet to safely and securely store medical equipment.

The cab is available in either flat or a 12" raised roof configuration. A two-tone cab paint option is available in multiple colors.

SHIFT INTO H20 OVERDRIVE.

Tankers dont just need to hold water they need to transport it; quickly, safely, over rough roads and with minimal backup. Contender tankers carry from 1,800 to 3,500 gallons with a low center of gravity, and optimized weight distribution. Select custom or commercial chassis, single or tandem axles, with 300 to 475 horsepower. You can also specify a variety of rear tank dumps, side/rear tank dumps and rear tank fills. ELLIPTICAL For departments that need to get the maximum water to the scene, Contender elliptical tankers are all business. Our lightweight elliptical tanks are made from either stainless steel or stainless steel wrapped poly. And these efficient tankers offer a long list of standard features and a wide range of options. Specify a custom Contender, Kenworth, International or Freightliner chassis.

DRY SIDE The Contender dry side tanker offers the look of a traditional truck with the versatility to carry more gear. At the same time, it delivers the functionality of tankers without the sweating of wet side tankers. Our dry side tanks are constructed of poly. Specify a custom Contender, Kenworth, International or Freightliner chassis.

DELIVER WATER AND KNOCKDOWN.

For performance at the scene, select a high-performance Waterous or Hale pump with capacities from 500 to 1500 gpm. For even more firefighting power, you can add a Husky

The Contender dry side tanker offers enclosed storage space in side compartments and above tanks. The additional space allows for

portable tanks and generators. A 500 lb. capacity slide-out, floor-mounted tray means youre equipped to face whatever challenges the run throws at you.

Your community counts on a quick response to a wide range of calls. But to do that, you need a truck thats as prepared and versatile as your department. Built on a Ford F550 chassis and powered by a 325 horsepower turbo diesel, the Contender mini-pumper can tackle a wide range of scenarios: initial response, wildland, urban interface and rescue. All-wheel drive powers you over rough terrain and snowy roads. And it comes with 6-speed manual transmission and a 300-gallon poly tank.
Options include a wide range of equipment to fit your department's needs and pump up your performance, including winches, gas or diesel generators rated up to 6,000 watts, 20" bumper extension and brush guard, hose reel, telescoping lights and more.

PUMP UP THE VOLUME. The Contender mini-pumpers are available with a Waterous
500 gpm or Hale 750 gpm pump. Pump in motion is available with PTO pumps. Each features stainless steel plumbing with brass and a flexible hose. For maximum performance, choose a Hercules CAFS, Elkhart or Akron foam system that is easy to operate and provides the maximum fire fighting power in a compact package. Or, specify a Foam Pro 1600 with a 30-gallon integral foam tank. You can also spec a variety of front, rear and side discharges based on your departments requirements.

The Contender mini-pumper body features your choice of roll-up painted doors, roll-up doors and lap doors, a rear compartment and a 12-foot, Duo-Safety two-section ladder mounted above the passenger side compartment. There are also two cross-lay beds for easy hose access and 15 feet of soft suction hose. Includes an NFPA lighting package and a combination tri-light cluster tail lights with integrated back-up lights for visibility. And you can select optional halogen, strobe and LED warning light packages.

THE MORE YOU BRING, THE MORE YOU CAN DO. Carry booster reels, generator or
other gear in the large (118 total cu. ft.) storage compartments, featuring roll-up or lap doors. Theres a full-height and full-depth compartment ahead and behind each wheel, and generous compartments above each rear wheel that provide easy access. And you can include shelves and slide out trays.

ACCESS THE CONTROLS.

The interior control panel is positioned between the front seats for ease of use. It operates running lights, scene lights, communications equipment and a range of accessories.

BRUSH TRUCKS:

SOMETIMES THE BEST ROAD ISNT A ROAD.

In fact, sometimes the road isnt much more than a rut. But even in extreme conditions, you can carry the fight to the fire with this all-wheel drive, Ford F550, 325horsepower turbo diesel Contender brush truck. Excellent ground clearance and high angle of approach and departure mean youre able to take on challenging terrain. This truck packs a lot of features in a small package: 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive or optional 6-speed manual, dual 130-amp generators, Code-3 NFPA lighting package and NFPA perimeter lighting. And, if you need more crew capacity, specify a four-door or superextended cab.
Inside you'll find an XL Super Duty interior with air conditioning, bucket seats, AM/FM stereo, and a center console for switches, radios and map storage. The flatbed is constructed with 5" channel borders for extra strength and features a non skid deck. The skid mounted poly water tank carries 400 gallons.

STORAGE TO GO. Store gear in 22" deep

treadplate compartments located over the rear wheels on each side and equipped with convenient drop downor optional lift up doors. Need more storage? You can specify optional tool compartments, made from the same treadplate, below the flatbed in front of the rear wheels. You can also spec additional enclosed storage above the watertank.

THE POWER OF FOAM. First on the scene? An optional Foam

Pro 1601 system with a 30-gallon foam cell gives you quick knockdown. And specify a CAFS system for greater knockdown and water conservation.

CARRY THE FIREPOWER TO THE FIGHT. Choose a

gas or diesel Waterous pump. The gas pump features an 18 horsepower engine and delivers 75 gpm at 150 psi or 200 gpm at 25 psi. The diesel pump is rated at 26 horsepower and delivers 175 gpm at 150 psi, or 250 gpm at 50 psi. Both are matched to a convenient Hannay electric rewind hosereel mounted at the rear with multiple hose options to fit your needs.
