8 Important information

New Features:
1. TAPI Link Collection V2.0 supports Octopus F270 IT.

2. TAPI Link Collection V2.0 supports following telephones:

- Octophon F21 IP Plus
- Octophon F21 IP SL
- Octophon F21 IP SL Plus
- Octophon F31 IP SL

Important Notes:
1. TAPI Link Collection cannot be used at telephones, which are configured as keyset and connected to
Octopus E5000 resp. Octopus F900.

2. If Octophon F IP with SW >= 5.1.22 is connected to TAPI Link IP, the options "Service Agent" and "CTI"
have to be enabled in telephone configuration under "System - Port Control".

3. If Octophon F IP and computer are separated by a router or different VLANs, the button "Find IP" doesn't
work. TAPI Link IP will work, if following configuration is used in "Phone Discovery":
- enter Octophon F IP's telephone number
- enter Octophon F IP's IP address (ask your service personnel)
- select "IP Address"
- enter Subscriber Password resp. User Password of Octophon F IP (see also Installation
Manual and NOTE 5)

4. For CTI connection between Octophon F IP and computer following UDP ports have to be enabled:
- port 1284 (computer -> telephone)
- port 5140 (telephone -> computer)

5. For CTI authentification, TAPI Link IP uses the subscriber password set up in Octophon F IP with at least
6 characters.
ATTENTION: For Octophon F50 and all Octophon F IP with SW >= 5.1.31, TAPI Link IP uses the user
password set up in telephone with at least 6 characters.

6. If TAPI Link Collection and CTI application are running on a computer under Windows 2000 Server or
Windows Server 2003, the performance of running server tasks (like IIS, DB server, domain controller, file
server, print server) will be reduced. Therefore TAPI Link Collection can only be used on computers, used as
workstation.

7. TAPI Link Collection cannot be used via remote desktop connections (like Windows and Citrix terminal
server).

8. If Octophon F IP is connected to HG3530 V2.0 in Octopus F900 >= V2.0, TAPI Link IP does NOT show
correctly the IP telephone display content in following TAPI functions:
- lineGetCallInfo (LINECALLINFO/dwDisplay)
- phoneGetStatus (PHONESTATUS/dwDisplay)
- phoneGetDisplay
