INTRODUCTION
In this project our object is to develop a Heartbeat Monitoring System that is capable to transmit the patients heartbeat collected by microcontroller unit and display it on the LCD. This project describes the design of a simple, low-cost microcontroller based heart rate & room temperature measuring device with LCD output. Heart rate of the subject is measured from the thumb finger using IRD (Infra Red Device sensors and the rate is then averaged and displayed on a text based LCD.) Project has been enhanced with the temperature detecting components DS1820 manufactured by DALLAS. The component is used to detect the room temperature & transmit it to the receiver LCD screen. The device alarms when the heart beat & the room temperature exceed the provided threshold value. This threshold value is defined by the programmer at the time of programmed the controller 89C2051.The threshold value given for the project is as 20 to 120 pulse per minute for heart beat indication & 0 to 55 C .This project is very useful for continuous monitoring of the patients heartbeats this is a very useful product in hospital.
ABSTRACT
The project here is all about modern heart beat monitor with latest electronics technology & microcontroller. The major blocks of our system are as follows:-
(1)
(2)
(3)
(4)
SENSORS:- In our project we will use ldr and l.e.d for sensing
effect of heart beat in human body. These ldr and l.e.d basically
will sense the change in body resistance due to compression & decompression of heart which is required to circulate the blood in human body.

CONCLUSION
The greatest learning experience in this project comes from the design and construction of PC Based Appliance Controller which answer a lot of questions regarding the real implementation of embedded system, Microcontroller, LCD. During the development of our project we studied and analyzed many real world applications of Electronics and Software Engineering. Some of the theoretical knowledge that was inculcated in us within our engineering program, which we have applied practically, is: 1. 2. 3. Use of voltage regulation and filtering in power supply. Study of LCD. Study of Microcontroller.
Therefore, there is a strong need for investigating the possibility of design and implementation of an interactive real-time wireless communication system. In our project, a generic real-time wireless communication system was designed and developed for short and long term remote patientmonitoring applying wireless protocol. The primary function of this system is to monitor the temperature and Heart Beat of the Patient and the Data collected by the sensors are sent to the Microcontroller. The Microcontroller transmits the data over the air. At the receiving end a receiver is used to receive the data and it is decoded and fed to Microcontroller, which is then displayed over the LCD display. If there is a dangerous change in patient's status an alarm is also sounded.
