Pagano and K. Gauvreau, Brooks/Cole Reference: Statistics with Microsoft Excel, 4th ed. B. Dretzke Excel is available in all computers on campus. Calculator: TI-83, TI-83 plus, TI-84 or TI 84 plus is helpful. Pre-requisite: MTH1400 or MTH1110 and CIS100 Course objective: Provide students with basic statistics concepts applicable to the fields of study in health science and life science, etc. Topics will include data organization, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, probability and linear regression, ANOVA. Course goal: After completion of the class, students should be able to recognize simple statistics problems, apply the statistics concept to analyze data in their fields. It is the student's responsibility to do the homework on a regular basis and keep up the work. 2. There will be a team project with three(3) parts posted in Blackboard with instructions and dues dates. They are collected through Blackboard Assignment. Teams will be formed the first day of class randomly. 3. In the case that you miss a test you must contact me as soon as possible for a makeup. Make up test will only be granted to those in the situations beyond your control. 4. If you miss a class it is your responsibility to make up the work missed that day. 5.
