SYNOPSIS

Today gas becomes important in our daily life. Gas agencies are playing an important role by supplying gas as per bookings done by consumer. Gas agencies are going ahead with computerizing their day-today activities. Gas agencies have become popular from 1960.At first, there were only few consumers to book cylinders. As the consumption of Gas increased, the number of consumers using gas gradually increased. Now they play an important role. The gas agencies are dealers with INDIAN OIL CORPORATION & BHARAT PETRULEUM CORPORATION. Now days gas cylinders are used not only in towns, but also in villages. There are two types of uses. One is for commercial and another one for domestic. Lots of People use gas in their houses. Domestic use means using gas in houses. Commercial use means using Gas for other purposes like in hotels, Laboratories, etc.

Modules: The Main menu of Gas Agency Maintenance system contains the following modules. Master-consumer Entry
1. Stock & Sales Maintenance

2. Transaction 3. Master Module 4. Reports 1. Master-consumer Entry: Customer Master Maintenance: All Data pertaining to Customers, Vendors and Products are to be stored and maintained. Generally most of the information in master files remains constant over a period of time. The maintenance module should be provided for Addition, Modification, Viewing and Deletion of Customer, Vendor and Product information. It contains the following operations. Addition Updation Deletion View New consumer. Updating an already existing record. deleting the unwanted record. Searching for a particular consumers details

In this module, if we want to add a new consumer, then we can click the command button Add and we can add the details. If we want to delete a particular persons details, we can delete it by clicking the Delete button. Suppose, if we want to search for a particular persons details then we can click the Command button View. If we want to update an already existing record we can update by clicking Update command button.

2. STOCK & SALES MAINTENANCE: There are two types of cylinders. They are commercial and domestic. This module contains the details of stock received, current stock in the Gas agency and the number of defects in both commercial and domestic gases. When products are sold to the customer, Cash Bill/Invoice has to be made to record the transaction. The details about the sales are stored in the Sales Header and sales detail. When a sale is made, the quantity in the stock has to be updated (deducted) for the corresponding items in the sales. Cylinder Stock will low and automatically indicated the Item is low. 3. TRANSACTION ENTRY: It contains the fields consumer no, consumer name, booking date, receiving date. If the cylinder is booked then the flag will be set to B. Otherwise, if the cylinder is delivered, then flag will be set to R. Bill will be printed before transaction. 4. MASTER MODULE: The master module consists of the employee details. The employees will be from different Departments like sales and admin. These module consists of the Following self modules. Employee details. Salary details. Attendance.

The salary is calculated refer by employee attendance records.

5. REPORTS: Report generation is an integral part of any information system. As reports provide the processed information and highlight areas where controls need to be applied. The successful implementation of any computerized information processing system depends on the effectiveness of the reports it produces. It contains the following operations. 1. Printing Bill 2. Daily Report 3. Weekly Report 4. Monthly Report 2 5. Delivery Report 3
