Ranch Corp Announces 30 Megawatt Georgia Project

200-Acre project in Social Circle, GA will be one of the Southeasts largest solar farms
Nashville, TNSilicon Ranch Corporation today announced it would develop a 200- acre, 30 Megawatt solar farm in Social Circle, Georgia. One of the Southeasts largest solar farms, Social Circle, GA is approximately 50 miles east of Atlanta and will serve customers of Georgia Power, a Southern Company subsidiary. Silicon Ranch, through its recently acquired Simon Solar Farm, LLC subsidiary, has entered into a 20 year Power Purchase Agreement with Georgia Power to deliver solar generated electricity beginning in the summer of 2015. Matthew Kisber, Silicon Ranch President and CEO, said, Georgia business and political leaders are to be commended for their vision to embrace solar power in this meaningful way. Kisber added, Silicon Ranch has been working with Nashville music entrepreneur, property owner and project developer Steve Ivey over the past year to bring this exciting opportunity to fruition. Silicon Ranchs strategic partner, Phoenix Solar, has provided technical assistance throughout this process. Phoenix Solars project assistance ensures Silicon Ranch will have an optimized solution with industry leading technology to meet all technical and budget requirements. Reagan Farr, Silicon Ranch Vice Chairman and COO, said, Georgia commitment to solar power is another indication that the Southeast US is emerging as a serious player in the emerging renewable energy industry. Farr added, When completed this project will represent a capital investment of approximately $90 million and will enhance Silicon Ranchs portfolio of solar projects. Steve Ivey, Simon Solar President and property owner, This particular region of the U.S. ranks high in solar energy potential and very low in solar energy development, so Georgia is a prime location for large scale solar, Ivey said. These large projects will drive down solar panel and component production costs. Not only do I believe solar energy is a trend for the future, I believe it is the smartest way to source power. Peter Beucke, Chief Operating Officer of Phoenix Solar said, Silicon Ranch is helping speed the adoption of solar power in the Southeast US, and we are proud to be their partner. He added, This is a first step toward building this solar plant and represents an important energy milestone for the Southeastern United States as it continues to transition towards clean and renewable sources of energy. Beucke
