Many words can be presented in a way that suggests their meaning. You could do this with individual letters (heavy), the overall shape of the word (shark), or added decoration (spider).

Font is another word we use to describe a type of lettering. You will be familiar with selecting which font to use on a computer. Collect 5 different examples of lettering (in different fonts) from magazines, newspapers, labels and packaging. Stick them down and copy them freehand by the side do not trace, and make sure you try to reproduce the same colours and textures.
