Chapter 1 - Exile

Tyvokka emerged out of his house. He could not sleep, not with these nightmares. They always started out the same. The alarms would sound in the middle of the night, followed by muffled explosions as faroff colonies were destroyed. Then would come the fire, raining from the sky as this unknown enemy bombarded the village he lived in. Then the anger. The screams of the wounded, the curses of the vengeful. And then silence. Anger in silence. Snapping out of his thoughts, Tyvokka looked around him. Everything was peaceful. Peaceful and quiet. He went back into his house and laid down. Tyvokka. Awaken, his father said. It is time for you to leave this planet. Tyvokka rose out of bed. He looked towards his father. What are you talking about, father? Tyvokka said. His father beckoned him to come outside. Tyvokka followed him. What he saw would change him. Ash. Ash and dust. The only part of the village that had not been completely decimated was his house. And, even then, the house had holes blasted through it. Sadness arose in Tyvokka. This sadness turned to anger. Who were the ones who did this, he asked. His father shrugged. Probably some space raiders. They will pay for this! Tyvokka stated. His father stepped in front of him. Son, no. They destroyed a village, not the planet. There is no need for anger. Move. Tyvokka commanded. His father wouldnt move. Tyvokka drew his claws. MOVE! he commanded. His father moved out of the way. Know this, he said. You will not be allowed to come back to Kashyyyk if you leave. You will be an exile. Tyvokka looked towards his father, then stepped out the door. It never occurred to him, until he was in his ship, that his nightmare had become reality. When he realized this, he almost turned back. But then he remembered his fathers statement and kept going. When he caught up with the raiders, somethingunexpected happened.

Chapter 2 Awakening

Tyvokka saw the raiders battle cruiser with his own eyes, igniting anger within him even more. He sped towards the hull. Unidentified spacecraft, state your purpose, announced the dock commander. Tyvokka smashed the console with his fist. The ship rattled as the raiders locked their tractor beam on his ship. He smiled. Good. Exactly as he had planned. But something unnerving kept gnawing at the back of his mind: these men seemed too uniformed to be raiders. As his ship landed in the hanger, it was surrounded. By stormtroopers. Tyvokka growled. It wasnt raiders that attacked his village. It was the Empire. He should have known.

A stormtrooper came into his ship. Tyvokka just sat in his chair. As the stormtrooper approached him, he stood up to his full height. The stormtrooper looked at him and nearly ran off the ship. Wookiee, you and this vessel are now property of the Galactic Empire. Tyvokka smiled. You wish, he said in Shyriiwook. The stormtrooper looked out at his comrades. Now was the moment to strike. Tyvokka reached over to the rack beside him, picking up a vibrosword. He let out the deepest roar he could muster. The stormtrooper looked at him, saw the vibrosword, I ran off the ship. This would be fun. Tyvokka ran off the ship, cutting down the stormtroopers outside of his ship. He needed to escape. But he couldnt. The tractor beam had to be disabled. Suddenly, Tyvokka sensedsomething. He was not precisely sure, but it felt likemachinery. Being a Wookiee, Tyvokka loved machines and technology. He felt as though he could reach out and touch thismachine-thing with his mind. Like a Jedi. Tyvokka chuckled. A Jedi Wookiee. That would be the day. That was when the Empires ship started to explode. Flames erupted from almost everywhere around Tyvokka. He was frightened. Hoping that the tractor beam had exploded, he got back in his ship. He looked at his scanner, saw the tractor beam had been disabled, and sped out of the hanger. As he left the battle cruiser, a TIE fighter emerged out of the hanger as well. It started to shoot at him. His thrusters were damaged. Growling with anger, he reached out with his mind like before. He could feel the TIE fighter. More importantly, he could feel the pilot. This must be the Force, he thought. He grabbed the pilot and choked him to death. I could get used to this, he thought.

Chapter 3 Discovery

His ship having been disabled, Tyvokka sat in his chair, waiting for the life support to give out. There was nothing he could do at this point. Tyvokka felt as though the ship were moving. No, he was sure the ship was moving. But how? He looked out his window, but all he saw was a planet. Maybe.no. His comms quickly came on. Hello? Hello? Can you hear me? This is Neilone, requesting communication with unidentified vessel. Tyvokka let out a grunt. Hello there! said Neilone. Oh, hold on. Ill be right back, I know we have a translator droid around here somewherefound it! Tyvokka straightened up. Who are you? he asked. Neilone waited for the translator droid to finish. Yes, I am wearing clothes. Why? Tyvokka growled. Thats not what I asked. He heard another voice, coming from behind Neilone. Neil, thats the Jawa translator droid. This is the Wookiee one. Neilone: Oh. Thanks, Qeran! Tyvokka sighed.

Ok, so, hello again. Neilone said. Hi, Tyvokka said. Neilone stared at Tyvokka. Ummnot that I hate Wookiees or anything, but what are you doing way out here? You are nowhere close to Kashyyyk. So Tyvokka filled him in. Well, ummm, I have definitely never heard of a Force-sensitive Wookiee before. Neilone stated. But you are in luck, sir. See, you are happening across the only Jedi Academy in this part of the solar system. Tyvokka made a high-pitched moaning sound. Great. Just what he needed.

Chapter 4 Acceptance

As soon as Tyvokka landed on the planet (he still was not sure how that had happened), he was swarmed by people. He attempted to talk to them, but no one understood him. Thats what you get for being a Wookiee. Neilone approached him. Tyvokka, Ill be with you in a second. I must meet with the Council. Tyvokka sat in his ship for what seemed like hours, but was actually only 5 minutes. He met many people, Qeran, the mysterious man from earlier, Verlathor, a Jedi Knight, and many others. Finally, Neil came back to him and told him that the Council would be watching him for a minimum of one week, observing his personality, his skills. For one week, Tyvokka was watched as he met new people, sparred with them, and bonded. Then the week ended. Tyvokka was summoned by Verlathor, Neil, and others. A member of the Jedi Council was present. They circled him, igniting their lightsabers. The Jedi stand for truth. Serenity. Peace. To know these is to know yourself, allowing you to immerse yourself in the Force even more. You have shown the base of these ideals. Therefore, we name you a Hopeful. Welcome, Tyvokka. Welcome to the Angels of Fire.
