This led to the utilization of the Online H igh availability environment to provide redundant processing and increase applic ation availability, in addition to reducing required resources or system upgrade s. * Enterprise Software rationalization project which reduced annual software cost s of 2.5Million. Eliminated Computer Associates DB2 tools set and replaced with IBM DB2 for z/OS tools set. * Elimination of IBM IMS Database Management system at SunTrust Bank and movemen t to z/OS DB2 as the enterprise strategic Database. This eliminated ~7.5Million in IBM software and licenses plus associated software products to support IBM IM S. This was a 5 year project involving 24 business applications enterprise wide. * Implementation of ITIL enterprise process and procedures to manage the enterpr ise Infrastructure. This promoted Technology advances and standardized processes that improved service quality and lowered operating costs, and has allowed us t o avoid the cost of staff increases. * Managed reduction of complexity of the online environment by eliminating appro ximately 50% of the Online Systems and overhead, which resulted in cost avoidanc e or reductions of system upgrades and maintenance. Eliminated 15% of DB2 Subsys tems by utilizing DB2 Data Sharing enterprise wide. * Managed technology resources to SOA enable online applications enterprise wide and resulted in the cost savings of 11Million. * Collaborated with the Enterprise Architecture Group to SOA enable enterprise o nline applications.
