PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 2008 to 2010 Research Scientist II Pfizer (Wyeth) Primary scientist, operating automated sample processing and compound storage sy stems and providing local support for HTS and research area scientists. Liaised with scientists to fulfill requests, including high content samples as well as providing samples for on-going purity and integrity testing of the sample collec tion. Managed Wyeth's plate-based compound library and performed quality contro l checks on equipment. Collaborated with Discovery IT groups in the maintenance of databases related to the liquid sample inventory request and fulfillment sys tems. * To contribute to the deployment of new technology within the organization, I d efined critical validation and test plans for the implementation of a $10-millio n automated sample storage, retrieval and processing system to support lead gene ration and confirmation testing at the Collegeville site. The new system compri sed a TAP SolAr system that included Baseplate liquid handlers, a HomeBase Picot ube Store, Plate Handling Modules with automated plate/picotube sealers, barcode printers, automated DMSO supply stations and a Manual Platesafe Store. * To support a rapidly-changing customer ordering scenario, a decision was made to deploy a leading edge order fulfillment system, known as Concerto. As the Bus iness Systems Owner, I managed the alliance between Wyeth Compound Management an d TAP (The Automation Partnership). Within this role, I analyzed and provided wo rkarounds to limitations in existing applications and partnered with developers at Wyeth, TAP and other automation vendors to ensure the complete testing of the new system. As a result, Wyeth became the first company to deploy this new sof tware. * Following the deployment of Concerto, I supported Wyeth's geographically dispe rsed scientific community as the primary contact for sample ordering, working cl osely with customers to ensure that critical deadlines were met across high-thro ughput screening and therapeutic areas. * Wyeth Compound Management was a resource-constrained team; therefore, to ensur e backup of critical activities, I cross-trained in the operation of the TTP Lab tech comPOUNDs/comPILER and Agilent Technologies Velocity11 BenchCel workstatio ns. This training enabled uninterrupted customer support during periods when pr imary operators were unavailable. * Following the acquisition of Wyeth by Pfizer, I played a critical role on the team that planned and implemented the transfer of the liquid sample collection a nd the decommissioning of the screening facility. This team was awarded the 201 0 R&D Team Award for its contribution to the successful merger of the Wyeth and Pfizer operations.

* To enhance my career development and actively participate in the larger Philad elphia scientific community, I am Secretary of the Philadelphia Chapter of the L aboratory Robotics Interest Group, actively contributing to the Chapter Board an d Steering Committee. 2005 to 2006 Principal Compound Management Scientist Supervisor of a small team that provided local support for nformatics and sample processing. Managed and prioritized rt of departmental initiatives. Acted as primary operator rocessing and compound storage systems, performing quality ipment and auditing results to ensure 100% compliance with procedures. GlaxoSmithKline Compound Management i team efforts in suppo of automated sample p control checks on equ department policy and

* A key contributor within the GSK Chemical Information Community, I served as a Business Systems Owner, providing the interface between Compound Management and GSK software teams, facilitating the gathering and documentation of business sy stem requirements for the development and implementation of new systems and prov iding workarounds to limitations in existing applications. * To support the expansion of GSK Sample Management's capabilities, I led the im plementation of a fully automated storage and retrieval sample processing system , partnering with GSK and TAP automation engineers to test and deploy a TAP Home Base microtube storage/retrieval system integrated with Tecan liquid handlers. * To streamline processes, I actively contributed to Lean Sigma teams, evaluatin g workflows, capabilities and process limitations and identifying and implementi ng opportunities for organizational/process improvement. 1992 to 2004 Senior Compound Management Scientist Eli Lilly and Co. Senior Scientist with Lilly's Compound Management facility located at RTP Labora tories, supervising a team of 15 employees and taking on responsibility for cust omer project planning and data management. Business System Owner for compound ma nagement inventory and fulfillment systems, providing tier-one customer support and software training for compound ordering and inventory systems. * To support the establishment of High Throughput Screening and Compound Managem ent operations, I provided expertise in the development and management of a comp ound ordering/inventory system. I implemented quality data audit practices that applied GLP principles to discovery operations, ensuring 100% compliance with d epartment policies. The result of these initiatives was a first-in-class system that supported Lilly for more than 10 years. * As part of our initiative to establish High Throughput Screening and Compound Management, it was critical to establish a large-scale, fully automated storage and retrieval system to manage a collection of over 2 million tube based samples . To ensure the successful delivery of this system, I provided expertise in com pound ordering, inventory and fulfillment processes. * To address a major shift in our discovery paradigm, from High Throughput Scree ning to Focused Screening, I developed logistics processes and coordinated the p rioritization and approval of requests from scientists with the operations teams to meet the needs of project team timelines. * In recognition of my contribution to Eli Lilly and Company, I received the 199 9 Lilly Research Laboratories President's Award for coordinating the logistics t o establish the Lilly RTP operation. * To actively participate in the larger scientific communities, I chaired the Sa mple Management Special Interest Group of the Society for Biomolecular Sciences at the 2001 annual conference. * To support Lilly's involvement in charitable organizations, I coordinated loca l support of fund raising for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 1991 to 1992 Biological Laboratory Associate r / Duke University VA Med Cente
