Analyzed and updated manufacturing labor costs at Summers Rubber through time s tudy analysis of fabrication processes. This established a potential revenue gai n of $79,000/yr and initiated the development of standard work models of those p rocesses. Initiated and developed a new method and arrangement for cutting metal hose and braid at Summers Rubber which increased efficiency of that operation by approx. 60%. This equates to about 1.5 hrs a day, which allowed the welder more availab ility for other duties. More useable space was also created which allowed easier material handling and better workflow in the welding area. Formulated a solution for a corrective action on a composite hose assembly fail ure using Root Cause Analysis. This lead to my development of an instructional t raining video that the Summers Rubber customer used to train their maintenance p ersonnel on the proper procedure for end fitting attachment. Redesigned the order processing and shipping line at Kirby by implementing effi cient and ergonomic workstation layouts, and coordinating the installation of a new Varsity shipping system.
