Year 4 Class Bulletin Term 3
Dear Parents / Carers, Welcome to Year 4s Term 3 Class Bulletin! Our topic for this term is the Ancient Greeks with a particular focus on the Ancient Olympic Games. Children will find out how the games compare with the modern games that we are all excited about witnessing later this summer! We will be visiting the British Museum later this month to view artefacts from Ancient Greece that will help us with our study, including the many beautiful pots and vases on display that have provided historians with clues about this period of history. On our return to school we will make and decorate our own Greek style pots with images of the Games. In Science we will be studying friction with reference to how this force affects us during sporting activities. In PE we will be creating our own Opening Ceremony during dance lessons and doing outdoor Athletics. At the end of term we aim to do some cooking in preparation for a Greek Banquet, to celebrate the end of our Olympic studies! If you have been on holiday to Greece we would love to see your photos and souvenirs. Mrs Laing & Mrs McCraw olaing@immanuelschoollambeth.org.uk bmccraw@immanuelschoollambeth.org.uk

On 26th January we would like to invite you to come in to class to see Fronter in action, during which time you will be able to log on with your child and ask any questions you may have. To encourage you to come, we will be screening the green screen documentary that we created earlier this year. There will be two half-hour sessions, come along at 8:50am OR 3pm.
