MS (Ortho.) A distinguished orthopaedic surgeon; he is the Director of Mangal Anand Hospital in Mumbai. He specialises in the areas of limb reconstruction using external fixators (especially the llizarov method) and osteotomies to correct deformities & also the high tibial osteotomy in the treatment of arthritis. A guest speaker of national and international repute, he has also organised courses on the uses of ring fixators across India. Also, he has contributed few sections on the llizarov method for Wheeless Textbook of Orthopaedics. He completed post doctoral fellowship under Dr. Dror Paley at the Maryland Center for Limb lengthening & Reconstruction, Baltimore, USA and Fellowship under Dr. C S Ranawat at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, USA.

In a career spanning over two decades, he has performed surgeries across Bangalore & Karnataka State and at places like Sanaa & Yemen. He has performed and presented new implants / components at national and international conferences. Also, he has been visiting faculty on Ilizarov external fixation and methods in Bangladesh, Egypt, Singapore and other countries.

Organising secretary He is the founder of Srujan Ortho and Accident Care Hospital in Khammam, Andhra Pradesh. The hospital is APs largest and expert centre for reconstructive orthopaedics using the Ilizarov techniques, including limb lengthening, deformity correction, treatment of problem fractures, non-unions, gap non-unions, and poliomyelitis. Received extensive training in the Ilizarov techniques in Kurgan, Russia and further got trained under Prof. Cattagni in Lecco, Italy. Also, served as Observer under Dr. Dror Paley at Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, USA. He has been a guest speaker and operating surgeon at various workshops on Ilizarov methods. In addition to running his own centre in Khammam, he is also a consulting Ilizarov Surgeon at Sunshine Hospitals, Secunderabad.
