Experience
Developing national technical vocational education and training (TVET) system Coordinating and conducting various capacity building programs for leaders and teachers of training and educational institutions. Consulting on Micro and small enterprises and job creation opportunities Developing occupational safety manuals and conducted several training programs related to occupational safety and health Authored/co-authored and developed national TVET strategy, system documents and various implementation manuals, particularly in the areas of Cooperative and in-company training; technology transfer and industry extension. Moderating and conducting various stakeholders planning and evaluation workshops. Actively contributing to implementation, monitoring and evaluations of national TVET strategy. Planning conducting and evaluating various occupational training programs. Initiating and formulating continuous improvement system/kaizen and QCC concept in the TVET system and piloted in TVET institutions.
Preparing directives to manage and control Education and Training programs.

Conducting training programs and implementing continuous improvement programs and lead kaizen events in pilot industries.

Achievements attributable to my tasks

A national outcome based and demand driven TVET system is in place Cooperative training and TVET- industry linkage is in place and currently 50% of trainees (TVET students) are attending training programs in industries Over 100 college deans and vice deans are capacitated in leading education and training institutions and in implementing continuous improvement techniques Most TVET teachers are capacitated in teaching methodology and provision of industrial extension service .

Technology transfer and Industry extension service strategy is in place and TVET system has taken the role of providing competency and productivity training to MSEs. Many Jobs have been created for the youth in construction sector, particularly in the area of cobblestone road/pavement.
